How exciting! 🎉

We have some exciting news to celebrate in Rebel Nation!

Cherokee Elementary School received its official school letter grade today, and CES earned an A! 🌟

And the great news doesn’t stop there! CES has also been named an Arkansas Gem School and will receive more than $45,000 in reward money for its outstanding achievement!

Cherokee Elementary was recognized among the top 5% for overall student growth and was also recognized for growth in both ELA and Math! These accomplishments are an incredible testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and families.

At CES, their name represents what they strive to do each and every day:

C — Challenge students to reach their full potential.
E — Educate with purpose, passion, and high expectations.
S — Support every student along the way.

This recognition reflects the work happening each and every day throughout Cherokee Elementary School to ensure students are challenged, educated, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed.

🌿 This visit beat the heat with an early morning Exploration Hike: Observing Nature & Pretending! ☀️

Ashton had so much fun going on a nature scavenger hunt with her mom and Mrs. Sadie! As they walked along the trail, they had wonderful conversations about what Ashton could see, hear, and feel around her. She also had fun searching high and low for the nature items on her scavenger hunt list! 🔎🍃

This activity is not only fun, but also a great way to support your toddler’s development! Walking, running, jumping, and hopping help strengthen large muscles and gross motor skills. Exploring nature also encourages language development as children ask questions like “How?” and “Why?” while discovering and learning about the world around them. 🌳💚

We love seeing families turn simple outdoor adventures into opportunities for learning, exploring, and making memories together!

A HUGE thank you to Sonic Drive-In in Ash Flat for generously donating lunch for our Community Advisory Board meeting today! 🍔❤️

We enjoyed some yummy cheeseburgers while coming together, collaborating, and sharing ideas on how we can continue to better serve and support the families in our community!

Today, we remember a day that changed our nation forever.

We honor the innocent lives who were taken, the families who were left behind, and the brave first responders, firefighters, police officers, military members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

On September 11, 2001, our country was attacked—but our spirit was not broken. We stood together. We lifted one another up. We proudly flew our American flags and reminded the world that freedom, courage, and unity will always prevail.

As of 2024, there were 592 deaths by su***de in the state of Arkansas. That's about 19 deaths per 100,000 Arkansans.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month - A moment that serves as a powerful reminder that there are steps we all must take in looking out for loved ones, the people in our community, and those who have been impacted by this leading cause of death.

Sadie is one of our amazing Parents as Teachers Parent Educators, and we are so thankful to have her on our team! She has brought tremendous dedication, hard work, and SO many laughs over the last several years. 😂💕

Sadie works hard to make sure she’s meeting model fidelity and providing quality services, while also pouring her heart and soul into the families she serves. Her passion for the work and the families she supports truly shines through in everything she does. 🫶🏻

🍼 August is National Breastfeeding Month! And on this , we want to remind you that breastfeeding is worth celebrating, but so is supporting every family and every feeding journey.

MYTH: Using formula means you aren't doing enough for your baby.
FACT: There are many ways to nourish and care for your baby.

Families may breastfeed, pump, combination feed, or use formula for many different reasons. What matters is that babies are fed and cared for, and parents have access to the information and support they need.
