The Learning Center Preschool (TLC Preschool)

The Learning Center Preschool (TLC Preschool) TLC is a Developmental Preschool that has been educating children for 38 years.

During a school year—September through May—we offer a variety of activities to insure positive, developmental growth. Our age appropriate curriculum will develop your child’s potential and challenge his natural curiosity. To aid in the very important area of social development, we will work to help your child grow within a group setting by means of sharing and cooperation. Activities to encourage

gross and fine motor skill development are provided daily. Music, Dramatic play, cooking, nutritious snacks, special programs, holiday parties and field trips are all in integral part of our programs.

An email was sent home recently to the Ready Steps Class. That email had important information in regards to your parent meeting this coming Thursday along with your September newsletter. If those parents of kids in the 5 day Ready Steps Class have not received it, please check your spam file.

A giant shout out to 7 former students Carter, Cadden and Zackary, Kylee, Kloe, Lila and Matt. These 7 extraordinary people all jumped in when help when needed. Lila celebrated her birthday yesterday and still helped with a smile along with her sister's. Matt is a dad now of a current student was muscles when muscles were needed and the the 3 boys scrubbed chairs to help clean. The community didn't stop there. We had a several other former families offer to help. We truly are grateful for all the help and offers. Feeling Blessed!!!

Dear families,
With the current situation in the Highland area, we want to update you on some necessary changes to our school opening dates and our parent meeting schedule. Like many in the community, the school has lost power and experienced significant flooding, particularly in our Ready Steps classroom.

Our team is actively working on cleaning, disinfecting, and restoring the affected areas to ensure a safe environment for all students. Due to these challenges, we will be adjusting our schedule as follows:

· Parent meeting (Upstairs Program): September 8

· Parent meeting (Ready Steps) August 27 (no change)

· First day of school for 4 day class and Ready Steps: September 14

· First day of school for 3 day & 2 day class: September 15

**Very Important Parent Meeting**
Parent meetings will be held on Tuesday, August 18, at 6:00 PM for morning class families and 7:30 PM for afternoon class families. The Ready Steps parent meeting will be held on Thursday August 27th at 6:30pm. We ask that at least one parent or guardian per student attend to receive important paperwork and information for the upcoming school year, meet our staff, receive your parking assignment, and have the opportunity to ask any questions before the first day of school.
As we prepare for a new school year, we also have a few staffing updates. We are excited to welcome Mrs Pinwitt back to Ready Steps as we say goodbye to Mrs. Cirks , who is moving on to new opportunities. We also celebrate Mrs. Lewis, who is retiring for the second time from TLC. We are incredibly grateful for the care, dedication, and love both have shared with our students and families over the years. They will be greatly missed, and we wish them nothing but happiness and success in their next chapters.
We look forward to welcoming you to our scheduled parent meeting and are excited for another wonderful school year together!
