Highland Community College (HCC) has reported a 12.3% increase in student enrollment for the Fall 2026 semester, according to preliminary 20th-day enrollment data released September 30 by the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR).
The early data shows HCC serving 2,579 students this fall, compared with 2,297 students at the same point last year — an increase of 282 students in just one year. The growth reflects continued momentum at Highland as the College expands access to affordable, high-quality education throughout Northeast Kansas and beyond.
“This enrollment growth is about much more than a number. It represents 2,579 students who have chosen Highland as a place to pursue their goals and build their futures,” said Highland Community College President Dr. Vincent Bowhay.
