Through the storm and in the days after, this year's theme verse played in our heads. "I will extol the Lord at all times, his praise will continually be on my lips". Even in the chaos. Even in the waiting. Even in the loss.

God is good all the time and in this experience His goodness was on display as His children sprung into service to others: tarping roofs, removing felled trees, bailing water, sharing generators - here at HCS and out in the community. What a joy to observe a community caring one for another!

Also, to all who GAVE FUNDS to help HCS with unexpected expenses related to storm damage, THANK YOU! We received funds equal to our need and were able to replace seven bookshelves in four classrooms and assist several families who experienced significant loss.

You crushed it! Special thanks to all the sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and guests who took part in the HCS Foundation Golf Outing this week at Innsbrook Country Club! You are the best of the BEST!! Christ-centered education is a blessing built and stewarded one generation for the next. We're so grateful that you are INVESTING WITH US for the good of generations to come!

-She loves watching the sunset, butterflies, nature, and going to the beach.
-She enjoys playing volleyball and doing embroidery.
-She loves working with kids.
-She is excited to join Mrs. Erica and the BAC team!

We are excited to announce that Jocelyn Nunn has joined the HCS family! Some fun facts about Mrs. Nunn are:

-She went to Highland Christian until 6th grade, and is an alumni of Illiana Christian High School.
-She and her husband, Dustin, have a 21 month-old daughter named Ava.
-She loves spending time with her family, visiting the ocean, going to the park, and attending church.
-She worships at Crossroads Community Church in Schererville, Indiana.
-She is excited to work in Before & After Care!

We are excited to announce that Caitlin Grace has joined the HCS family! Some fun facts about Ms. Caitlin are:

-She is one of 8 children and she loves big families!
-She was previously a preschool teacher; and although she did not attend HCS, many of her babies have become HCS alumni. ♥️
-When she is not at HCS, she spends her time nannying for an adorable 4 year-old boy and precious 1 month-old girl.
-She currently has 8 pets.
-She is excited to be working in the Before & After Care at HCS.
