The loss of revenue due to the cancellation of Big 10 football, and in some cases other D1 sports, is huge. This not only impacts the universities, the athletes, and the students and staff, but also a big hit to the local economies that rely on thousands of visitors to attend the games. It's unfortunate, but necessary to prevent further spread of the coronavirus. A tough decision.
