The Global Braille Survey from BRAILLE AUTHORITY OF NORTH AMERICA is now open! This survey provides an opportunity from people around the world to share their experiences and perspectives on braille literacy.

Who can participate?
➡️ Adults aged 18 years and over who are blind, have low vision, or are deafblind
➡️ Parents and guardians of children any age who are blind, have low vision, or are deafblind
➡️ Teachers and other professionals involved in braille education
➡️ Braille transcribers

If any of these categories apply to you or someone you know, please consider taking the survey or helping spread the word! The survey is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Russian, Slovak, and Spanish.

You may already be familiar with the thousands of accessible educational videos provided by the Described Caption and Media Program, but did you know you could also access training materials?

Families and educators who have at least one student with a disability can access (free!) training materials on several topics, including this one: "Let's Describe."

The goal of "Let's Describe" is to provide educators and families with information and tools on audio description to make daily life more accessible to students/children who are blind or have low vision. Teachers, para-professionals, school administrators, and families will all benefit.
