✨ Week 1 is officially in the books! ✨
Our Natural Hair Scholars kicked off their journey with Introduction to Braiding, where students learned the foundations of healthy braiding techniques, proper hand positioning, sectioning, grip control, and the importance of hair care before every style.
One of the highlights of the day was Activity Time! Each scholar was challenged to name their mannequin and give them a complete makeover using hair accessories, makeup, facial gems, lip gloss, and their own unique creativity. It was amazing to see each student’s personality shine through as they transformed their mannequins into one-of-a-kind creations! 💄✨🎀
Watching our young scholars build confidence one braid at a time is exactly why this program was created. Every expert was once a beginner, and today they took the first step toward mastering a valuable skill that can become a lifelong talent—or even a future career.
