We hung out with Alum Adam who is a pro horticulturist at Cleveland Botanical Garden. He helped Drew study for Interior Plant ID (and perhaps had a few flashbacks of trying to conquer that list!!) Thank you Adam!!!!

We've been hard at work preparing for NCLC 2026! Our local industry has been incredible with their support this year, which we'll highlight in the final weeks here. Today we had The Pattie Group, Inc. in to help with coaching. Special shout out to Todd and Randy for the time spent with students!

Last week, stopped by to demonstrate advanced Tree Risk Assessment techniques including sonic tomography and resistance drilling. Students got a hands on experience with these industry experts! Thank you for the support !

This week we had the opportunity to participate in a collegiate visitation day at Davey Tree's new SEED Campus. Students got to interact with skills trainers, diagnostic lab technicians, and Davey leadership. It was a blast and really helped students understand the scope of the industry.

We had a great visit with Pittsburgh based JML Landscape this week to explore opportunities for our students. They have an incredible internship program along with plenty of career opportunities for our students!

Yesterday, we welcomed representatives from Cuyahoga Community College for an office tour and a chance to introduce them to JML. With Tri-C set to host the 2027 NCLC competition, we’re excited to strengthen this partnership and look forward to future internship opportunities with their talented students!

Congrats to our collegiate competitors at this year's Ohio Tree Climbing Championship! Ohio Chapter is unique in offering a collegiate division at this annual career skills competition. Our students racked up the medals and learned a ton working alongside the pros!
