🐷Don’t go bacon our hearts… Help us PACK THE PIG!

💰It’s time to check the couch cushions, raid the car cupholders, and empty out those pockets because PACK THE PIG is officially happening from June 1st to June 5th!

🛝We are raising funds for our amazing NEW PLAYGROUND PROJECT! But because a little friendly competition makes everything better, we’re making this a heavy-weight battle.

⚖️ The Rules:
Bring in your spare change and dollar bills to drop in your classroom's piggy bank. We will be weighing the pigs daily.
💵Fun twist: For every dollar bill collected, an extra ounce gets added to the total weight!

🏆 The Prize:
The classroom with the HEAVIEST PIG at the end of the week wins a Class Choice Celebration!

🥊Let’s make some CHANGE, work together, and pack those pigs! Which classroom is taking home the title of Heavyweight Champion?

The next school budget vote is just around the corner on Tuesday, April 14th. With the level service budget having already been voted down, MVSD worked hard to limit cuts to student services as much as possible in this new proposal, and we believe we will be able to maintain much of the momentum we've built up throughout the year if this budget passes. You can learn more about this new proposal and review the full budget on the district website, mvsdschools.org, or attend the informational meeting at MVU and on Zoom at 7:00 PM the Tuesday before the vote. In small districts like ours, every vote goes a long way, so we hope everyone is able to come out and make their voice heard!

It’s that time of year again! Prep is underway for teacher appreciation week at Highgate Elementary. We are asking for gift certificate donations to 5 local businesses and donations to create 5 themed raffle baskets. Our themes this year are; Made in VT, Hiking/Outdoors, Teachers favorite things, Gardening, and Spa. If you have items you would like to donate, please reach out! I have linked an Amazon wishlist to this post but please feel free to purchase anywhere or if you have something homemade, that’s great too. Thank you for helping us show our staff how much we appreciate all they do for the children in our community!
