Strong partnerships between home and school continue to be one of the greatest predictors of student success. One important opportunity to begin building that partnership is through our Parent/Family-Teacher Conferences, which will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 12:00–8:00 p.m. We strongly encourage every family to participate. These conferences provide valuable time to meet your child's teacher, establish goals for the year, and begin the year with open communication and shared expectations. The Babcock Building Open House is Coming Up! You can finally get a look inside the newly renovated and modernized building at Swanton School on August 19th! Everyone is welcome, and you can enjoy family activities and some tasty refreshments Hosted by Swanton PTO and EEI, Inc.

Great schools are built by great people. We'd love to welcome a few more exceptional people to our team. We're hiring for the 2026–2027 school year! We are currently seeking:

A licensed Special Educator
OR
A licensed K–6 teacher interested in providing targeted academic support to students.

We are also seeking a Custodian for 2nd Shift!

If you're passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive in a collaborative, student-centered school, we'd love to hear from you!

We're also always looking for substitute staff.

Have just one day a week available? We'd still love to connect! Many of our substitute staff have unique and varying schedules, and even one day can make a meaningful difference.

We're seeking substitutes for:
• PreK
• K–6 Classrooms
• School Nursing
• Front Office support

He's been hard at work reading to all of his favorite stuffed friends (they're an excellent audience!).

Meanwhile, Mrs. Bellrose is staying weather-wise by reading all about tornadoes in preparation for tonight's storm. 🌪️

What are you currently reading? I'll go first... I just finished The Housemaid, and now I'm reading All the Way to the River by Elizabeth Gilbert. My daughter recently finished the Percy Jackson book series.

Tonight's rainy weather is the perfect excuse to curl up with a good book and knock out your next Bingo square! 📖
