Today we stopped by the newest ice cream shop in town, Great Scoops! 🍧🍨🍦🍧🍨🍦🍧🍨🍦
This was a surprise treat for the students & they loved it so much. We will definitely be back again soon! The ice cream is delicious, affordable & the staff & owners are pretty awesome. They’re in the High Springs Winn-Dixie plaza and open 12pm to 9pm daily. They also serve Shakes & Smoothies! Check them out! 😊

One of our After Schoolers!

Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈 to this local elementary student. Back in June, we posted about our summer reading initiative- Booking It On Purpose.

When we posted, we asked parents that were interested in their child(ren) participating, to comment & then to let us know when the child had finished the reading by Friday July 31st, in order to get the free pizza certificate.

This student’s parents were the only ones out of about 50 parents, that contacted us about finishing the initiative at the end of July, so she was the only student that received a certificate, so far.

This is one last reminder. If you commented on our original post in June, when we advertised about the program & your child(ren) actually did complete the 4 weeks of reading, as outlined, comment & we’ll contact you today. We are in the middle of other projects & today’s the only day to reach out if you see this. 😊 Way to go, TRP! 🥳 She was very excited to get her certificate!

There is a reward for leading by example around here. Today, as Pastor Joy sat & approved payroll, he also audited several months of time sheets for regular staff. What he was looking for was who has been consistently on time.

To his surprise, these three ladies have not only consistently been on time, 99% of the time they arrive & clock in several minutes early, ensuring that they are in place & ready to work at their scheduled time.

We sold some items this week that we haven’t been using much, so we took some of that money & surprised them with $100 cash each, on their way out the door to go home this evening. They were all called on the radio to come to the office & didn’t know why. 👀😆 What a relief to know it was for positive recognition.

We love our staff & will continue to acknowledge positive demonstrations of exceeding expectations.

With the Station Bakery closing, we need more places where we can order a whole cake locally. Serendipity Soda & Sweets thank you for making this for our preschool teachers with such short notice. My GOODNESS!!! 😍🍰

School started Monday & our After Schoolers are having a great time already! We have several more that’ll start with us tomorrow, but the last two days have been great. It’s only the second day of school, so they haven’t been given too much homework yet. They’re enjoying having access to more space, more rooms & more activities this school year. It’s only the beginning! 💚
