Congratulations to our amazing Lion Paw winners this week! 💛🎉

At Murphy Elementary, students earn Lion Paws by demonstrating one of the 7 Habits! These habits help our students develop leadership skills, make positive choices, and become responsible, respectful learners!

🌟 Our 7 Habits are:

🐾 Habit 1: Be Proactive – Take responsibility for your choices, actions, and attitude.

🐾 Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind – Set goals and make a plan to achieve them.

🐾 Habit 3: Put First Things First – Focus on responsibilities.

🐾 Habit 4: Think Win-Win – Find solutions that work for everyone.

🐾 Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood – Listen to others before sharing your thoughts.

🐾 Habit 6: Synergize – Work together because teamwork makes us stronger!

🐾 Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw – Take care of your body, mind, heart, and spirit.

Each Lion Paw represents a student putting these habits into action and being a positive role model for others! 🌟

Murphy Families,

We are officially 10 DAYS AWAY from our October 16 chocolate fundraiser deadline, and our Murphy Lions are doing an AMAZING job! 🎉🍫 We are on track for an incredible fundraiser, and we are so thankful for the support and excitement from our students, families, and community!

There is still plenty of time to join in or keep going! We have chocolate available and will continue handing out boxes throughout the fundraiser. Whether your student is working toward their first incentive or their next one, there are still 10 days to reach those goals!

🍫 Sell 3 boxes: Earn a field trip to Slick City!

🍫 Sell 4 boxes: Receive the FULL set of Coops + the Golden Coop AND attend a Pizza Party with the Principals! 🍕

🍫 Sell 7 boxes: Earn a fun camera! 📸

🍫 Sell 10 boxes: Earn a $50 Amazon Gift Card!🎁

We have loved seeing how much fun our students (and families! 😊) are having with this fundraiser. Every box sold helps support Murphy Elementary, and we truly appreciate everyone who has participated, shared, sold, and cheered on our Murphy Lions! 💙

🚒🔥Fire Prevention Lessons🚒🔥

Our kindergarten, first grade, and second grade Lions had a special visit today from the High Ridge Fire Department! ❤️

Students learned important fire safety and prevention tips, what to do in an emergency, and how firefighters help keep our community safe. We’re so thankful to our friends at High Ridge Fire Department for taking the time to teach our Lions and make fire safety fun and memorable!

A big thank you to our local firefighters for all you do! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒🚒

Today we are celebrating the amazing custodians who work so hard behind the scenes to keep Murphy clean, safe, and running smoothly each and every day! 🦁💙 From early mornings to busy school days, their hard work, kindness, and dedication make such a difference in our school.

Today, we officially have over 220 students participating in our fundraiser! 🎉

We have been busy handing out chocolate and we are so thankful for the incredible support from our Murphy community.

Thank you for helping make this fundraiser so much fun for our students! We’re excited to keep it going! 🍫🦁💙
