Don't let the name of our homeschool co-op deter you. While we meet in High Point, we welcome families from all over the Piedmont Triad!

The purpose and mission of HPHE is to provide support, guidance, encouragement and educational opportunities according to Biblical principles and ideals for home educating families in the Triad area of North Carolina.

Grounded in solid Christian principles, HPHE welcomes all High Point and Triad area home educators. Your child’s safety and well-being is important to us. Here are some of our campus safety policies:

- Required background check for all advisors, substitutes, monitors, and other adults on campus

- All campus doors locked at all times and vigilant sign-in procedures

- Documented procedures for incident reporting

- Annual fire drills for emergency preparedness

Just because a child CAN learn something does not mean it’s developmentally appropriate for them.

Research is clear- children who learn a skill at a different time than peers do not show any disadvantages later on.

I’ll use my own family as an example. I have three siblings. We all learned to read on the spectrum between the ages of 4-11. Now we’re all adults and we all enjoy reading. Does it matter who learned when? Nope.

Eventually, we level out. But the difference is that for kids who are pushed, there is a very real risk of deep resentment towards the person, the skill, the subject, or worst of all - learning as a whole.

Lesson: TRUST YOUR CHILD 💚
