With three event-packed days, there's something for everyone to enjoy! Here are our Top 5 Reasons to Attend Family Appreciation Weekend. We can't wait to welcome you to campus September 25-27, 2026.

1. Attend the PantherPalooza Concert

Join students and their families at the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center for an unforgettable night of entertainment on Saturday, September 26. This year's PantherPalooza Concert features The Beach Boys, one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands of all time, along with Yachty by Nature, the smoothest Yacht Rock band on land and sea. Doors to the Qubein Center open at 5:30 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, August 25 at 12:00 p.m., you may register for reserved concert tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration link will be emailed to guests who have registered for Family Appreciation Weekend.

2. Be HPU's Number One Fan

Show your Panther pride by wearing purple and cheering on HPU's Men's Soccer Team as they take on Guilford College at Vert Stadium on Friday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy complimentary concessions and stay for a spectacular drone show following the match.

3. Enjoy a Conversation with President Nido Qubein and Alexander Green

Join High Point University President Dr. Nido Qubein for a conversation with Alexander Green, Chief Investment Strategist for The Oxford Club, as they discuss Green's newest book, The American Dream: Why It's Still Alive...and How to Achieve It.

The program begins on Saturday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served, and doors to the Qubein Center open at 9:00 a.m.

4. Lace Up Your Running Shoes

Kick off your Saturday with the annual Family Appreciation Fun Run on Saturday, September 26. Race-day registration and pre-registered bib pickup begin at 7:00 a.m. on the Slane Outdoor Basketball Court.

5. Student Entrepreneurship Showcase

Join us on Friday, September 25, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for a student entrepreneurship showcase featuring students who have launched or are in the process of launching their own companies. Discover the next generation of innovative business ideas, hear firsthand about the entrepreneurial journey, and learn how the Entrepreneurship Center can support your student. Held in Cottrell Hall inside the Entrepreneurship Center (second floor).
