Congratulations to Ryan Engle and Jaben Tomes for being named this year’s valedictorian and salutatorian!
These exceptional students addressed the Class of 2026 at graduation on Saturday, giving them advice for the future and insights into how to succeed in their next steps after Westchester.
Ryan will attend Georgia Tech this fall to play baseball and study business. During his speech, he told students this: "The hard classes, the big job interviews, the conversations you've been putting off, those things are scary because they matter. Not trying at all is a far bigger risk than swinging and missing."
Jaben, who will attend Elon University as an Odyssey Scholar, told students, "for everyone gathered today, I call us to forget the things that once held us back and recognize the magnifying strength that we now possess."
Well said, Wildcats!
We’re so proud of them for their work, dedication and intelligence, and we’re so excited to see what’s next for these bright grads.

With the school year almost over, we're sharing one of the coolest moments from this year – when Upper School robotics team The Steamrollers went to St. Louis for the Vex Robotics World Championship!
Competing against people from all over the world, they finished 68 out of more than 800 other teams! They were able to take on competitors that had invented new styles of robots, competing in matches based on programming, driving skill, and construction of their robot.
We were so proud to see them excel at Worlds! 🤖 For more, check out the article about their trip here: https://www.westchestercds.org/p/~board/school-news/post/robotics-team-excels-at-world-championship
