1 — Walking my land and realizing how much space I have after getting things leveled 🥹
2 — Piling all the dead trees and brush to burn.
3 & 4 — It burned all evening into the next day. The fire was so pretty & smelled sooooo good!
5 & 6 — The remnant 💨
7 — Winter 2024 : sitting and envisioning what’s currently unfolding.
When I first began clearing this land I was in such a rush. I moved too fast — hired the wrong man for what he said was an easy job. He took out the trees but didn’t level anything. I had huge craters and holes everywhere — couldn’t even drive up to see it 😔 Wasting money on a strict budget felt like a major loss.
I took a pause for a few weeks and (thanks to my Mama) wound up connecting with the right man for the right job 🥹
He saw how messed up the first man’s work was and assured me that he could correct all that was wrong & complete bringing my vision to life — he leveled the land, opened up both my driveways, collected all the dead tress & burned them. He opened up a small road that my grandad and uncles used to use when they had a hunting club right here back in the 70’s. He even came back and blessed me further by planting some grass seeds over everything.
I’m so grateful for this piece of land — it’s all unfolding.
