Congratulations to NQSC alum Anna Harris on winning the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Regional Investigative Reporting - one of the most prestigious honors in broadcast and digital journalism!
Investigative reporting takes patience, courage, and an unwavering commitment to truth. Anna has all three, and this recognition is a testament to the quality of work she is doing in the field.
Anna is a morning anchor at Live 5 News in Charleston, SC. She won this award for her investigative reporting on the poor conditions and slow responses at the Charleston Housing Authority.
We are incredibly proud to call her one of our own. This is exactly the kind of impact we hope every NQSC graduate goes out and makes.

Greensboro for their recent trip to the Vatican, where they received a rare behind-the-scenes look at global communications and media strategy inside one of the world’s most influential institutions.
From crisis communication to international broadcasting, this once-in-a-lifetime experience gave students firsthand insight into how messaging reaches more than 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide - proving that communications has the power to connect people across cultures and continents.
Thank you to FOX8 Greensboro for highlighting this incredible opportunity and the future communicators bringing these lessons back home.

Final day in Italy 🇮🇹✨
Today, the HPU International Strategic Communication Global Experience cohort traveled to Como, acity that has been a global hub for silk production for centuries, for a visit to the Como Silk Museum. Students traced the entire silk-making process from silkworm cultivation to weaving and printing, while exploring how the museum communicates Como’s heritage to international audiences through storytelling, sustainability, and inclusion.
The afternoon offered one last free day to take in Northern Italy — Lake Como’s lakeside promenade, the Duomo di Como, and a few final espressos before heading home. The trip closed with a group farewell dinner at La Porta Rossa in Milan, where 17 students, two professors, and one extraordinary tour leader reflected on three weeks that took us from Naples to Milan, through Pompeii, Rome, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Parma, and Como, with conversations along the way at the U.S. Consulate, the Vatican, the European Parliament, Italy’s National Institute of Health, the International Rescue Committee, ISPI, SAY Agency, and the ADI Design Museum. Three weeks. Eight cities. Countless lessons in how communication shapes culture and how culture shapes communication.
Tomorrow, we fly home. Grazie, Italia. 🌍📚✈️
