Freeman Kennett Architects has developed a master planning concept for a new community amphitheater to be located in the Uptowne district of High Point. The 800– 1,000 seat amphitheater and outdoor market provides a concept for revitalization by creating a town center that celebrates North Carolina’s International City. The proposed location, adjacent to the High Point Chamber of Commerce, the Johnson Street Magnet School for Global Studies, the Main Street commercial district as well as commercial/retail area identified for potential strong growth lends itself to providing an important gathering space for the community.
