Take a seat and enjoy the view 🌿
We’ve recently added new seating to the Cottrell Japanese Garden and Waterfall Garden, offering more places to relax and connect with the gardens.
From the peaceful rock nooks overlooking the waterfall to the modular seating in the Japanese Garden, these spaces were designed to encourage visitors to slow down and spend a little more time outdoors.
Which garden would you choose for your afternoon study spot? 📚🌿

This week, the Mariana H. Qubein Arboretum & Gardens will be represented at the American Public Gardens Association Annual Conference in San Francisco.
Faith Stutts will present her session Piecing Together the Past: Rebuilding Records After Turnover, sharing the challenges, lessons learned, and successes of rebuilding the gardens' plant records system.
This work has helped create a more accurate and sustainable record of our living collections and has contributed to recent improvements to our Plant Explorer app, allowing visitors to better discover and learn about the plants throughout the gardens.
We're proud to contribute to the ongoing exchange of knowledge within the public garden community and excited to share our story on a national stage 🌿
Interested in exploring our collections? Visit the HPU Plant Explorer through the link in out bio.

It’s not every day you see a succulent reaching for the sky 🌿✨
Our Mangave ‘Blue Mammoth’ is putting on an impressive display with a towering flower stalk covered in hundreds of blooms.
Mangaves are a hybrid of Agave and Manfreda, combining the bold architecture of agaves with the colorful foliage and vigor of manfredas. As the flower stalk grows, it becomes a magnet for pollinators and adds a dramatic vertical element to the landscape.
Many visitors mistake mangaves for agaves, but these unique hybrids often grow faster, produce softer leaves, and display striking spots and patterns throughout the year.
Come experience this extraordinary bloom for yourself in the Rankin Welcome Garden!
