🌲 4TH GRADE TAKES ON CAMP CARAWAY! 🏞️✨

Our 4th graders had the best time exploring the great outdoors at Camp Caraway on Tuesday! From flying down ziplines to hiking through the woods, it was a day packed with outdoor adventure and hands-on learning.

Students splashed into the creek—turning school shoes into play shoes in a flash—to catch salamanders and critters while taking a fun, interactive lesson on speed and motion. The day wrapped up with a hike up the mountain, delicious s'mores, and a special moment of quiet reflection to take in the beauty of God's creation. What a memorable day for our Cougars! 💙💚🐾

🌋 FAITH + SCIENCE = AN EXPLOSIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE!🌋

Our HPCA 8th graders brought science to life with their volcano experiments! Through hands-on learning, students explored the incredible forces beneath Earth’s surface while discovering the power, beauty, and intentional design of God’s creation.

At HPCA, science is more than understanding HOW the world works - it’s also recognizing WHO created it!

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” - Psalm 24:1*

From scientific discoveries to biblical truths, we love seeing our students grow in knowledge, curiosity, and faith!

Marching Into Learning!

Our 3rd graders brought learning to life last week during their annual Vocabulary Parade! Each student was assigned a unique vocabulary word and got creative dressing up to match its meaning.

From colorful costumes to clever definitions, our Cougars showed off their expanded vocabularies as they paraded through the hallways for the whole school to see. We love seeing our students make learning so fun and memorable! 💙💚🐾

🧠 A DEEP DIVE INTO NEUROSCIENCE IN AP PSYCHOLOGY! 🔬✨

Our AP Psychology class had an incredible, hands-on learning experience this past week! Graduate students from the Neuroscience department at Wake Forest University visited our campus, bringing along an impressive assortment of animal and human brain specimens for students to examine.

Students also explored the cognitive side of the mind using an EEG machine to track brain waves in real time! We are so grateful to Wake Forest University for giving our Cougars this unique look into higher-level science and research. 💙💚🐾

🎭 THE CRUCIBLE COMES TO LIFE IN ENGLISH III HONORS! 📜✨

Our English III Honors students brought serious talent—and some fantastic accents!—to Mrs. Dixon’s classroom as they acted out Arthur Miller’s The Crucible!

Stepping into character and reading literature aloud allows our high schoolers to dig deeper into the story's themes, practice public speaking, and have fun along the way. We love seeing our students bring classic literature to life with so much energy and creativity! 💙💚🐾
