☀️Can you tell we are happy to be here? It’s not easy to get Pre-K to 8th grade to smile at the same time but we came close enough!

We had an amazing first week of the 26-27 school year at HPFS. We are so grateful to the families, students, and staff who contribute to this joyful place of learning. We are excited for what’s ahead. 🕯️

📓Summer is coming to an end and we are busy preparing for the beginning of the school year! 🧑‍🏫

We can't wait to see everyone on Thursday. Stop by your student's classrooms and meet teachers 5-5:30pm, and then head to the gym for a catered meal and an ice cream truck!

Then, we look forward to the first day of school on Monday, August 17. See you at 8am for an 8:15am start time. Good habits start now! 😊

🦸Super Hero week at HPFS Summer Camp was creative, educational, and a whole lot of fun! Karin led Peace Super Hero camp for the big kids and talked about peaceful actions, we created super hero costumes, bounced in the bouncy house (thanks Triad Bounce LLC !) to show off our flying skills, and met with local park rangers to hear about their life saving work!

We will not have summer camp next week, but will resume the final two weeks of camp on July 6. It's not too late to register! bit.ly/summerHPFS ☮️

🌱Looking for a loving place to begin your child's education? We would love to share more about our approach to early childhood education which combines play with learning the fundamentals, along with how to be part of a classroom community.

Did you know that HPFS began in 1963 as a weekday kindergarten program? Getting students prepared for elementary school has always been part of our DNA.

🦁 To say we had fun this week would be an understatement. We explored the animal kingdom through lots of crafts and hands on learning, silly songs, and everything in between.

🦋Last week's Adventure Camp really captured what it means to be part of such a collaborative community.

Coach planned a week of action-packed activities, Karen and Caroline worked with a handful of parent volunteers to make it happen, the Sink family welcomed our crew to their home for activities and food, and students traveled all over High Point and Greensboro.

We are continuously grateful for our school community, and what that community can do to enrich the lives of our students.

We look forward to seeing what week 3 of summer camp brings!

We had so much fun at week 1 of summer camp--Arts Around the World.

This week, our younger friends are exploring Dinosaurs, while our older campers are adventuring around High Point and beyond. We can't wait to see what the week brings.

🎓 What a week we had last week! We celebrated the hard work of all of our students and their promotion to the next level. Thank you to our families for joining us in these events! And thank you to HPFS staff for another inspiring year.

We also celebrated the love and Light that Ms. Ann left us and will be reminded of this warmth everyday when we arrive at school, greeted by the hydrangeas our community planted at the peace pole.

We are looking forward to summer camp starting next week! We hope everyone has an excellent summer 😎
