Celebrating the Harshbargers 💍

After growing up together and training in karate in Syracuse, New York, Ethan '24 and Morgan '24 both chose to attend High Point University. At HPU, they found a community that became like family, formed lifelong friendships, and grew together in their faith.

The experiences, relationships, and values they gained during their time at HPU helped shape their journey and continue to influence their lives today.

📺Breaking News for Reanna Rosenthal '25

Reanna recently won two prestigious journalism awards at the West Virginia Broadcasters Association’s Excellence in Broadcasting Awards!

She took home “Best Anchor” and “Television Emerging Journalist” for her work as Morning News Anchor and Producer at WVVA News.

"This is a dream come true for me, as I’ve just celebrated my first anniversary of working in TV news! I’m so happy to contribute every day to such a crucial and impactful industry."

Alumni Spotlight: Farah Hussain '26

Farrah earned her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from High Point University while balancing full-time work, raising four children, and managing the demands of everyday life.

There were long nights, real sacrifices, and moments when giving up felt easier, but she stayed committed to her goals and her future.

Earning this degree reflects her determination, resilience, and the support behind her. She hopes her story inspires other parents and working professionals to keep going, even when it feels challenging.

Alumni Spotlight: Jenni Bilhuber '24, '25 👛✨

Since graduating from High Point University, Jenni has been working as a Creative Content Manager and Live Stream Host in the luxury fashion resale industry. Over the past five months, she has quickly grown within the company and was recently promoted to Senior Live Sales Host.

“One of the most exciting parts of my role is that it will soon give me opportunities to travel and connect with people through fashion, while continuing to grow both creatively and professionally. I’m grateful to be in a position that combines creativity, design, and opportunities every day.”

Congratulations to the Zylowskis 💍

Christina Carilli ’21 and Kyle ’20 Zylowski share a true HPU connection. Although their paths crossed many times on campus, they didn’t officially meet until Kyle’s graduation, and they’ve been together ever since.

The couple tied the knot on April 25, 2026, celebrating what they described as the perfect day. Their wedding was a meaningful reflection of their time at HPU, surrounded by lasting friendships, including two bridesmaids and one groomsman from their college years. They were even joined by a professor Christina had conducted research with, making the occasion even more special.

Their story highlights how HPU connections can last well beyond graduation and sometimes come together when you least expect them.

George Germano ’13 is stepping into an exciting new chapter from corporate finance to entrepreneurship.

After nearly a decade in corporate finance with companies like Becton Dickinson (NYSE: BDX) and Subway Corporation, George has leaped into entrepreneurship, now operating three Visiting Angels franchises in Connecticut. Each day brings the rewarding opportunity to support elderly and disabled clients in living independently while ensuring they are never alone.

His time at High Point University played a defining role in that journey. From Dr. Qubein’s President’s Seminar, one lesson continues to stand out: “Have a dream so big you’re embarrassed to tell your friends.” That mindset reshaped how George approaches goals, pushing beyond comfort zones and aiming higher than what feels immediately achievable.

Today, George credits HPU for instilling the confidence to leave a traditional corporate path and pursue a more purpose-driven one, all while preparing to embrace life as a father of two.
