📚☀️ Sunshine Stories Has Begun! ☀️📚

Thanks to a Dollar General Literacy Foundation Summer Reading Grant, Grandview Elementary was able to provide Sunshine Stories Summer Reading Packs for Early Learners to our students!

Book packs went home today with students attending summer school. Students who attended Preschool, Kindergarten, or First Grade at Grandview Elementary during the 2025-2026 school year are eligible to receive a pack. Former Preschool and Kindergarten students will receive one pack, while former First Grade students will receive a different pack designed for their reading level.

Families are encouraged to read together throughout the summer and complete the activities in the included reading journal. Please return the completed journal when school resumes in August.

Students who are not attending summer school may pick up their reading pack from the Grandview Elementary office between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, by June 30.

Three Middle School Students qualified to attend the Children's Literature Festival at UCM this year by reading the Truman Award Nominees. We heard five different authors and illustrators speak, and three of them are authors on our Truman Nominee list this year!📚🖊️📖
