Exciting NEW things happening at Kerr Horsemanship! 👏🏻

Cody, Ondreas husband has been hard at work with some ranch renovations!

So far he has done a full barn remodel with leveling stalls, the alley way/work and feed areas, he has done tons of dirt work in the arena while putting up shade cloth for much needed shade, installing fencing around the property AND creating a new parking lot for everyone!

We are so grateful for everything he does around there to create a happy and safe environment for everyone to work and learn in! Thank you Cody Kerr !!

Amiah a client here at Kerr Horsemanship competed in the Stephenville, Texas queening competition last week and while she did not win, she learned a lot about the sport of rodeo as a whole and competing in pageants and queening contests! She is currently enrolled in a modeling Academy and in school full time! She has competed in several pageants,

learning queening was a fun and different challenge that she is excited to learn more about! She’s looking forward to competing next year!

UPCOMING events to watch for! 👀

A few clients and customers at Kerr Horsemanship will be competing in the Morning Star Ranch Horse versatility show as a schooling and learning tool October 24th!

THEN we are gearing up for another Kerr Horsemanship client based ranch versatility showcase in November!

Stay tuned for more updates and info on that!!

Happy Friday y’all!! 😀

We had such a fun and productive day of lessons!

The kids worked on safely leading their horses, and in the spirit of the Stephenville, Texas rodeo this weekend we had the kids run the barrel pattern on foot to help them remember it!! 😆

It was cute, they burned off some energy and we think very effective! 😆

We hope y’all have a great & safe weekend!🐴

The 15 minutes before a lesson might look quiet...

But a lot is happening behind the scenes. 👀

Before riders arrive, we are:

🐴 Matching riders with horses
🎯 Reviewing goals
🧠 Planning exercises
🌱 Preparing the arena
🤎 Thinking about how each horse and rider can succeed

Every rider walks into the arena with different goals.

Some are learning their first steering cues.

Some are preparing for competition.

Some are simply trying to build confidence.

And every single one matters.

Because every great rider starts somewhere. 🤎

🐴✨ WINNING WEDNESDAY ✨🐴

Let's talk about the "before."

Before the confident rider...
➡️ There was the nervous rider.

Before the smooth lope...
➡️ There were wobbly circles.

Before the perfect partnership...
➡️ There were moments of learning.

Every rider you admire started exactly where you are.

The goal isn't to be fearless.

The goal is to trust yourself, trust your horse, and know you have the tools to handle whatever comes your way. ❤️

Tag someone who needs this reminder today!

🐴✨ A Day at Kerr Horsemanship ✨🐴

The lesson doesn't end when the rider steps out of the saddle. 🤎

After every ride comes the important lessons too:

✨ Caring for your horse
✨ Untacking correctly
✨ Grooming and checking your partner
✨ Reflecting on what you learned

Horsemanship is more than riding.

It's responsibility.
It's patience.
It's respect.

The little things done after the ride are what create great horsemen.

What's your favorite part of being at the barn AFTER the ride? 👇
