Our classes are small, affordable and designed to provide children with the "First Step" they need for a successful education.
Our average staff-to-child classroom ratio is 1-to-5. Nutrition is an important part of growing up. We offer our students a daily snack and are peanut-free. Serving families in Hicksville, Westbury, East Meadow, and Levittown since 1984.

We sent our 3’s off to pre-k on the last day of school and wish them all the best.

Miss Jenn and Miss Dawn’s class had a short but exciting week! On Tuesday, they had a wonderful time at our school picnic, enjoying all the fun activities with their friends. On Thursday, they decorated their end-of-year bags and continued working on another “super secret project.”
Everyone is looking forward to next week’s end-of-school party and celebrating a fantastic year together!

Miss Connie and Miss Angela’s class spent last week reviewing their letters and continuing to strengthen their writing and tracing skills. They also created bright, cheerful suns to help welcome the upcoming summer season. Everyone is excited as we head into the last week of school and look forward to all the fun ahead!
On Tuesday, June 2nd, First Step held its annual End-of-Year Picnic at Plainview-Old Bethpage Park! ☀️🎈
Everyone had a wonderful time playing, singing, and dancing with their friends. The highlight of the day was choosing their favorite balloon creation designs and watching them come to life!
Thank you to all of the families who came out to join us and help make the day so special. We had a fantastic time celebrating another successful year together! ❤️🎉
