LRU Bands

The LR Wind Ensemble is thrilled to join the LR A Ca****la Choir on the international tour this year in a historic milestone for the LR music program! This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate within the music department, and we are excited to offer the chance to perform and travel abroad to the wind ensemble students as we travel to Central Europe (Prague, Berlin, and Leipzig).

Gifts to the Wind Ensemble Fund help reduce financial barriers and ensure that every student, regardless of financial circumstances, has the opportunity to participate in this extraordinary journey of discovery, growth, and music-making. As you may have seen, the Lenoir-Rhyne Wind Symphony page recently changed its name to LRU Bands in order to be more inclusive of the many instrumental performing ensembles at LR. We hope you continue to follow the LRU Bands Facebook and Instagram pages as we lift up and celebrate our Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, and the many chamber ensembles at LRU. We are excited for the final LR Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony concert of the year "Life Cycles" on April 28th at 7:30pm! Come see a variety of music reflecting on our journey through life, highlighted by the light design of the LR theater department. Admission is free and doors open at 7:10pm.
