Hickory High girls soccer wins state championship 'with heart, with grit and with skill' "This was our last game, especially as a senior, I knew there wouldn't be an opportunity like this anymore, so I had to give it all."

Congrats to our women’s soccer team! State Champions!

Hickory girls soccer is going to the state championship match for the first time in school history "That's a big deal, especially to me," Hickory junior Piper Jillings said. "I want to finish the job, and we might as well go all the way at this point."

Hickory City Schools is excited to announce several leadership transitions for the upcoming school year!

Erin Sigmon, principal of Southwest Primary School, will transition to a new district role as the Family Engagement and Readiness Specialist for Parents as Teachers. Her years of experience in primary education and expertise in Conscious Discipline will help strengthen support for students and families.

Cierra Ferguson has been named the new principal of Southwest Primary School. Ferguson currently serves as assistant principal at Oakwood Elementary School and W. M. Jenkins Elementary and brings strong experience in literacy, instructional numeracy, and student-centered leadership.

Cyrus Henson will serve as Interim Principal of Hickory High School. A longtime assistant principal at HHS, Henson brings deep knowledge of the school community and a strong vision for student success.
