We are so thankful for each of you and all that you do throughout the year for our students and school community. We hope this special treat helps kick off a wonderful summer filled with rest, fun, and sunshine. You all are truly appreciated!

As we close out another wonderful school year at Hickory Day School, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank several members of our faculty and staff, who will be moving on to new adventures.

Thank you to Ivy Thompson, Terri Boone, Geoff Harte, Jana Sales, and Kat Enriquez for the dedication, care, and passion you have shared with our students and school community. Each of you has made a lasting impact through your hard work, encouragement, and commitment to helping our students grow and thrive.

While we will certainly miss you, we are so grateful for the time, talents, and memories you have given to Hickory Day School. We wish each of you nothing but happiness and success in the next chapter ahead.

Today, May 22nd, we proudly celebrated our 8th-grade graduates as they crossed the stage and completed their journey at Hickory Day School. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished through their years of hard work, dedication, leadership, and perseverance. Each student has made a lasting impact on our school community, and we are grateful to have been part of their educational journey.

As we close another incredible school year, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

To our students, thank you for the laughter, the joy in the classrooms, the resilience you showed in the face of challenges, and the countless memories made along the way. Watching you learn, grow, and shine this year has been the greatest gift.

To our teachers and staff, thank you for pouring your hearts into every lesson, every conversation, every early morning, and every long day. Your dedication, patience, and love make our school such a special place to call home.

And to our families, thank you for your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year.

This year was filled with spirit days, field trips, celebrations, friendships, milestones, and moments we will never forget. While we are excited for summer adventures ahead, it is always bittersweet to say goodbye to another wonderful school year.

To those moving on to new chapters, we are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all the amazing things your future holds. Once part of our school family, always part of our school family.

Our 4th grade students investigated, studied, and applied our central idea, “Design Thinking Leads to Creative Engineering,” to work as engineering teams and apply their knowledge of the
engineering design process to create a working water filter out of mostly natural materials.
