What Librarianship Looks Like Today 🙂

CVCC Library Work-Based Learning student Jessie Shell and Library Work-Study student Briannah French are taking a few happy moments to enjoy the butterfly bookmarks they created from Post-it Notes!

These two bring creativity, joy, and a wonderful sense of play to everything they do. We love seeing them find imaginative ways to make learning not only meaningful but memorable.

Sometimes, the simplest creations can bring the biggest smiles—and brighten up the library along the way!

What Librarianship Looks Like Today 🙂
A Little Founding Father Fun!

Offering her very best impersonation of one of our Founding Fathers, S.O.A.R. Commons Associate Dean Dr. Staci Wilson joined in the festivities before our America250 Lecture earlier this week. We have to admit—she certainly looked the part!

Dr. Christopher Moore provided an engaging and thought-provoking presentation on the religious beliefs of the Founding Fathers, giving attendees an opportunity to explore an important and fascinating aspect of early American history.

With an excellent presentation, an enthusiastic audience, and just a little Founding Father frivolity, those in attendance helped create a memorable learning experience!

A special thank-you to Dr. Christopher Moore for sharing his knowledge and to everyone who joined us as we continue celebrating America250 together!

A Spooky Farewell to a Wonderful Library Volunteer!

CVCC Library Volunteer Karla Illanes has made decorating our Library Celebration Tree for Spooky Season one of her final library projects—and what a festive way to wrap things up!

Karla will be taking a break from volunteering as she pursues other endeavors and adventures. While we will certainly miss her presence, her hard work, creativity, and kindness have left a special mark on our library.

Karla, thank you for sharing your time, talents, and wonderful spirit with us. We are so grateful for everything you have done to help make the library a welcoming and happy place.

We will miss you boo-tifully much! But most of all, we wish you every happiness and success in whatever comes next. Good luck, Karla—and don’t be a stranger!

What Librarianship Looks Like Today 🙂

CVCC Library Work-Based Student Jessie Shell and CVCC Library Work-Study Student Briannah French work in perfect tandem to help keep up with all the “little” things that make our library run smoothly—including the very important job of checking the mail!

While these tasks may seem small, they make a big difference in keeping our library organized, welcoming, and running like a well-oiled machine. We are incredibly grateful for Jessie, Briannah, and all of our amazing student workers. We honestly don’t know how we’d get it all done without them!

Thank you, Jessie and Briannah, for keeping things moving, one “little” task at a time!
