Godflow Ministries
Finding that God-flow in life, when the path we are on is God's Way and not our own, is an art. We experience it in moments realizing Heaven on earth, glimpses of what life can be like when we really lean into God. Our mission is to find that flow state and pursue life with the greatest fullness pos...

It’s mid-December in the foothills of NC and I’m currently sitting on the back porch barefoot in shorts and a tee shirt. The high temperature today is almost sixty degrees Fahrenheit and will probably be the only day like this in the foreseeable future. In a little while, I hope to “layer up” and get a good ride on my Ønewheel before the sun, too quickly, disappears below the horizon....

Something I love about Onewheeling is the seemingly ceaseless series of challenges that come with the sport. It all begins with “simply” deciding to try to ride one. As you begin to “master” riding around the driveway or yard there’s a road ahead and once you're comfortable with the road there are sidewalks, curbs, skateparks, and trails ahead. Neverending challenges—all requiring both a decision to try and commitment to surmount....

Walking through a yard you glance down and a white puffy flower catches your attention. Do you feel compelled to pick the seed pod and blow on it, hopeful to see the seeds dance through the air? Perhaps you see a w**d in a yard you care for and the last thing you want is to see those seeds spread. Then your brain goes straight to extermination hoping to halt the invasion right there on the spot....

The other day I was riding Onewheels with my nephew Easton and he asked me if we could practice crashing in the grass. He and I recently created a list of achievements that could be his goals and I had just asked him what skill he wanted to master that day. Learning to crash isn't actually on the list but Easton has learned that some scrapes and bruises will be part of his pursuit....

Prior to the holidays we had a streak of cold, wet, and windy weather. I spent my time those days reminding myself not to be frustrated with the forecast while remaining hopeful for the inevitable sunny days ahead. The sun was shining brightly on the day the weather began to change and I could hardly contain my excitement as I hopped onto my Onewheel to go for a ride....

When I was young we always had Thanksgiving lunch at my paternal grandparents’ house with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. After lunch, football and/or “the parade” would be on T. V. in the living room and there were leaves to be raked outside. Raking the leaves was fun, mostly because we kids did more jumping into the piles than actually raking them....

Friday I spent most of my day outside in the mountains of North Carolina. The sun was shining, the temperature was warm, and a cool breeze gently carried colorful leaves through the air and to the ground. Yesterday I scrambled to locate all my winter gear before joining some friends for a super cold Onewheel ride that, despite my efforts, I was simply not prepared for....
