Back-to-School Community Food & Backpack Giveaway + Kids & Family Festival ‘26
A Day of Fun, Community, and Giving at MDC Hialeah
What an incredible Saturday it was at MDC Hialeah. This past Saturday, Back-to-School Community Food & Backpack Giveaway and the Kids & Family Festival came together side by side to create one unforgettable celebration for our community, and WOW, what a success it was!
From the moment the doors opened, the campus was filled with families, children, laughter, music, excitement, and nonstop fun. The turnout was amazing, with so many families coming out to enjoy the day, connect with one another, and take advantage of the many wonderful activities, services, and giveaways made possible by our incredible sponsors, vendors, community partners, and generous donors.
The day truly had something for everyone! Children enjoyed thrilling rides, including roller coaster-style attractions, train rides, horse riding, bounce houses, games, face painting, magic shows, dance performances, and so much more. The talented dancers from Gigi Dance Academy brought incredible energy to the stage with their wonderful performances, while families enjoyed free snacks, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, and other treats throughout the event. There were even farm animals to meet and plenty of opportunities for children to learn, play, explore, and simply have fun!
The Kids & Family Festival, held in support of the *I Am MDC Day Fundraising Drive*, and at the same time, the Back-to-School Community Food and Backpack Giveaway helped families prepare for the upcoming school year with generously donated backpacks, school supplies, food, and other essential resources.
Most importantly, this event was about community. It was about bringing families together, creating happy memories for children, supporting students as they head back to school, and showing what can happen when organizations, businesses, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and community members come together for a common cause.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to every sponsor, vendor, community partner, donor, volunteer, performer, staff member, and everyone who helped make this celebration such a tremendous success. Your generosity, time, energy, and commitment truly made a difference.
From the rides and music to the dancing, magic, animals, games, food, treats, school supplies, backpacks, and countless giveaways, it was truly a win-win for everyone! ❤️
What started as two wonderful community events became one BIG day of celebration, giving, learning, and family fun at MDC Hialeah Campus.The smiles, laughter, excitement, and memories made are what community is all about.
Together, we celebrated. Together, we gave back. Together, we made a difference.
