STEM Bootcamp excitement continued all week at MDC Hialeah! 🚀🔬🧪

Our students immersed themselves in hands-on Biology and Chemistry experiments, making the most of our state-of-the-art science labs while gaining valuable real-world STEM experience. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn were evident in every activity as they explored new ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and built confidence in their abilities.

By the end of this exciting week, our participants had become confident young scientists, mastering laboratory techniques and applying what they learned through hands-on experimentation. The combination of engaging lessons, interactive activities, and access to our outstanding lab facilities created a true win-win learning experience.

With the guidance of our dedicated professors and STEM professionals, students not only gained valuable knowledge but also discovered how fun and rewarding science can be. It was inspiring to watch them learn, experiment, collaborate, and grow throughout the week while creating lasting memories along the way.

Boys & Girls Clubs Visit

We had the pleasure of hosting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade at our MDC Hialeah Campus! 🎉🏫 The students enjoyed an exciting and memorable day exploring our vibrant campus and learning about the many opportunities available through higher education.

Their visit began with a warm welcome and an informative session led by our amazing Director of Student Services, Katheryne Mena. 📚✨ Students gained valuable insights into college life and the resources available to support their academic success.

They also participated in a campus tour guided by our SGA President, giving them a firsthand look at student life and other departments at MDC Hialeah.

A highlight of the day was an Introduction to IoT (Internet of Things) session led by School of Engineering & Technology recruiter Carlos Rodriguez. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, students explored emerging technologies and discovered the endless possibilities that careers in STEM can offer. 💡💻

The day concluded with delicious food, swag bags, and fun games, leaving students with lasting memories and plenty of smiles. 🍔🎁🎲

We are thrilled that the students enjoyed their time on campus and hope their visit inspired them to pursue their educational goals with confidence and determination. It was a pleasure welcoming these bright young minds, and we look forward to hosting more future leaders and innovators. 🌟😊

Fluid Art Therapy

🎨✨ Creativity, relaxation, and wellness came together beautifully at our Fluid Art Therapy event presented by The Wellness Committee! Participants had the opportunity to unwind, express themselves, and create unique abstract masterpieces through paint pouring techniques.

It was wonderful to see students and employees take a break from their busy day, connect with others, and enjoy a calming hands-on experience. The colorful creations and positive energy made for an inspiring and stress-free atmosphere.

FTIC (First Time In College) Orientation

Students from high school got the opportunity to visit our beautiful campus for their first time in college orientation, where they learned about the school, college requirements, scheduling, dual enrollment, and insightful college tips to ensure they succeed in future.

The students enjoyed exploring the campus, played games and had a great time. These students are our future sharks and we can’t wait to see them here and help them reach their goals.

MDC Hialeah was honored to host the Educational Roundtable with School Board Member Roberto J. Alonso. The event brought together many distinguished leaders, community members, students, and educational partners for meaningful conversations about the future of education.

We were proud to welcome Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega, along with our Campus President Dr. Georgette Perez, and many other important attendees who shared insights and ideas to strengthen educational opportunities for our community.
