A little rhythm, a lot of fun, and plenty of connection! 💃🕺

Our MDC Scholars brought the energy to the dance floor during a lively Salsa Dance event filled with music, movement, laughter, and community.

Moments like these remind us that learning happens beyond the classroom, too, and that building connections is what makes the MDC Hialeah experience so special. 🦈

Creating, expressing, connecting. 🎨

As part of Disability Awareness Month, MDC Hialeah hosted an Art Therapy experience that gave our students an opportunity to explore creativity, self-expression, and connection through art.

A beautiful reminder that there are many ways to communicate, connect, and make our voices heard. 💙

Celebrating the people who help keep our campus running every day! 💙

MDC Hialeah came together for a special Custodian Day lunch to show appreciation for the dedication, hard work, and care our custodial team brings to our campus community.

Sometimes, a little encouragement can make a big difference. 🍪

Through Advisement Crumbles, we’re reminding our students that they belong, their voices matter, and being in the room matters.

A sweet moment of connection and encouragement from our MDC Hialeah community to our students, because you belong here. 🦈

Community Job Fair ‘26

MDC Hialeah recently brought the community together for an exciting Community Job Fair! 🎉 With 40+ employers from various industries, attendees had the chance to explore job opportunities and even participate in on-the-spot interviews. 💼✨

This event was a golden opportunity for job seekers, including students, to connect with potential employers, network, and discuss exciting job and internship prospects. 🤝 Students stepped up with confidence, engaging in interviews, while employers eagerly collected resumes and scouted top talent! 👩‍💼📄

Job seekers hit the jackpot with this event! 🎰 They got to meet multiple employers in one go, showcasing their skills, experience, and professionalism. 🌟 From entry-level jobs to advanced roles, companies assessed candidates on communication, presentation, and first impressions. 🧐💡

This career-boosting experience provided students with essential skills for their job search, while employers found promising candidates to fill key roles. 🚀 Plus, attendees walked away with valuable contacts, website info, and direct employer connections for future opportunities! 📧💻

As Harry Dahlstrom, author of Turn a Job Fair Into a Job Offer, says:
"Job fairs enable college students to meet face to face with dozens of employers all in one day." 🤝🌟

Anxiety: When Worry Takes Over

We had a fantastic turnout for our "Anxiety: When Worry Takes Over" presentation at our campus. It was a wonderful session with Dr. Beatriz Errasti De La Concepcion from Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Students gathered to learn valuable strategies for managing anxiety and received essential mental health resources and information.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event such a success!

🐾 From T-shirts to toys! 🐶💙

Our Paws in Action: T-Shirts to Toys workshop was a success! Our students had a great time turning gently used T-shirts into cute, creative dog toys while supporting a meaningful cause. 🐾

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this a fun and impactful event as part of our Paws for a Cause service initiative!

Together, we’re making a difference, one paw at a time. 🦈💛
