One of the things we love about Foundations is that it’s designed for ages 4–12 to learn together! ❤️ The shared memory work makes a “one-room schoolhouse” approach possible at home while creating opportunities for students of all ages to learn from and encourage one another.

Today, our bigs and littles joined together for presentation time—a sweet picture of what community is all about: building confidence, cheering each other on, and learning together! 🥰

Classical Conversations Heyworth is a small, welcoming community serving students in K4–6th grade. Our families come together each week for learning, encouragement, friendship, and support on the homeschool journey.

Fine Arts is a highlight of our Foundations program (K4-6th grade)!

In the first 6 weeks, students learn the basics of drawing—exploring mirrored images, perspective, and abstract art in a fun and approachable way.

The best part? Watching their confidence grow. Students who start out saying, “I can’t draw,” quickly discover that they can—and create artwork they’re proud of.

“I can’t believe how comfortable your students are with public speaking!” — it’s something we hear all the time at Classical Conversations Heyworth.

Starting as young as age four, students participate in a weekly presentation time. They bring a favorite toy, book, craft, picture, or story to share with their class, then answer questions from their peers and tutor.

Many begin feeling shy, offering just a few words, but week by week, with the encouragement of a nurturing tutor and supportive parents, something beautiful happens. Those same students grow into confident, articulate speakers, who aren’t afraid to share their ideas.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about practice, encouragement, and growth, and it’s amazing to watch.
