👀 What if JOY is one of your most powerful tools for evangelism?

No microphone. No stage. No perfect words. Just a life that makes people wonder, “What do they have that I want?” 👀✨

Here at YWAM Cross Wind, God has been highlighting JOY!

🤍 Joy in serving.
🔥 Joy in community.
🙌 Joy in our walk with Jesus.

But let’s be real… how do we hold onto joy when life gets hard?

Here are a few reminders we’ve been sitting with:

✨ His presence is where joy is found. — Psalm 16:11
🌱 Joy is fruit of the Spirit, not something we have to fake. — Galatians 5:22
💪 Joy is possible even when circumstances aren’t perfect. — Habakkuk 3:17–18
💡 Our lives can shine a light that points people to Jesus. — Matthew 5:16
❤️ The joy of the Lord is our strength. — Nehemiah 8:10

Joy doesn’t mean life is always easy. It means we know the One who walks with us through it.

What if our joy made people curious about Jesus before we ever said a word? 🔥

Day 4 of our Debrief Week! 🤍 And we finally remembered to take a group photo… but not until AFTER our other debriefer, Missy, had already headed home! 😂 We’re so sad she missed the photo because she brought so much joy to our week!

We are incredibly grateful for Patricia’s leadership, the wisdom she shared, and the way she cared for our hearts throughout this week. It was truly an honor to have her with us! ❤️

Patricia traveled all the way from Canada to join us, though she’s originally from the United Kingdom! 🇨🇦🇬🇧

What a gift to have these women pour into our team during this season! ✨

Sometimes what feels like a disappointment can become an unexpected invitation from God. 🤍

When we had to postpone our DTS, we decided to ask one of our speakers, who was already scheduled to fly in from Canada 🇨🇦, if she would still come and spend the week with us for a time of debriefing.

She prayed about it… and said yes!

And then she invited her friend Missy to come alongside her and debrief with us too. What started as a speaker coming for DTS became a whole week of processing, reflection, prayer and care.

Each morning this week, we’ve begun with worship, followed by teaching, and then time for homework or one-on-one conversations with our debriefers.

And honestly, this week feels significant.

God has called us as a base to care for the brokenhearted and those who grieve. How can we walk well with others through their grief, transitions and hard places if we aren’t willing to make space to process our own?

So we’re taking this unexpected pause to let God meet us in our own transitions and disappointments—to listen, grieve, heal, learn and prepare for whatever He has next.

And we’re praying beyond this week.

Our prayer is that God will raise up and bring together a Member Care Team at YWAM Cross Wind—people equipped to walk alongside missionaries, students, staff and others through the hard places of life and ministry.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and remember… God is smiling at me right now? He delights in me! 🤍

Sometimes we bow our heads in shame because we missed our quiet time or feel like we haven’t spent enough time in prayer.

But while prayer and time in His Word help us grow, God is inviting us into something even deeper: a life of abiding in His love.

Before you’ve done a single thing today, you are already loved. You are already treasured. You are the apple of His eye! ✨

What if the first thing you remembered each morning wasn’t what you needed to do for God, but how deeply He delights in you?

Here’s a beautiful truth to carry with you today:

“YAHWEH, your God, is inside you. He is the Warrior-Savior who takes such delight in you that it will make him leap for joy and shout with great gladness. Yes, he will soothe you with his love. He will sing over you his song of praise.”
— Zephaniah 3:17 (TPT)

May you walk into today knowing you are deeply loved by the One who sings over you. 🤍

🛠️ Not all missions looks like sharing the Gospel. Sometimes it looks like fixing pipes, repainting worn-out spaces, and caring for the places where ministry happens. 🌱

At YWAM Cross Wind, we have 61 acres to care for and currently just one maintenance person who also wears many other hats as a campus leader!

We have a real need for more hands to help care for our campus and the people who come here to be equipped and sent to the nations.
