Greetings from North Mountain Farm!

We hope that you are doing well in this new year, and are excited for the longer, warmer days to come. I know we are!

We want to let you know that we will be moving to Denver and will no longer be raising your holiday turkeys. It is sad for us to let you know of this, but we are really excited about all of the new opportunities and adventures soon to be had. Thank you for supporting us, we really have appreciated getting to know you all and raising the most loved well loved, environmentally friendly and healthy poultry for you.

In saying this, I want to give you one last chance to purchase our free range, organic, non-gmo chickens for $6 pound and a turkey for $8 pound. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please pass this information on.

Permaculture/Holistic Management employment opportunity.

Interested in growing organic vegetables and free range meat? Looking for an experienced person/ couple with sheep, chickens, turkeys and livestock guardian dogs, grey water and humanure systems, gardens, and orchards. In lieu of rent, we are offering an opportunity to manage and caretaker a 36 acre site in beautiful Hesperus, Colorado. Successful candidate may place a tiny home/ owner provided rv. Owners will provide distance learning and training in holistic management, permaculture, site development, harvesting techniques. In addition to rent free living, candidate will have the added benefit of growing their own food. Owners of property are trained permaculturists and holistic management and believe in organic, free range farming and will require continuation of these principles. Hello turkey folks! The time is getting close to secure a beloved fowl from North Mountain Farm. A deposit of $50 is required to secure a bird. Please send it to 10512 CR 120 Hesperus, Co 81326. The ladies are currently weighing in at around 15-17 pounds. We will be harvesting them in late September and can happily store them for you until latest Monday before Thanksgiving. North Mountain Farm has an opening for a Fall 2016 apprenticeship. Topics of instruction will include:
*Harvesting animals
*Grey water construction
*Sustainable building instruction
*Permaculture
*Holistic Management
The ideal apprentice will work and stay at the farm Friday, Saturday and Sunday intensive and other small farm responsibilities throughout the week.

We provide breakfast and dinner on full days of work.

Our accommodations is a covered tent site, bathhouse, washer/dryer.

The owners of North Mountain Farm are Permaculture Design Certified with more than 5 years on our current site.

We are currently selling limited shares for free-range, non-GMO, organically raised chickens and Thanksgiving turkeys. A subscription of chickens is 5 processed and ready for pick up on harvest day. ($50 deposit). Turkeys are field harvested and must be picked up on that day, TBA. ($100 deposit).
