Students in Ms. Toth's Honors World Cultures Class had the exciting opportunity to learn about Morocco through a video conference with Ms. Toth's son, who happens to be traveling there. They learned about Moroccan culture, traditions, and daily life, including the languages spoken, food customs, and beautiful beaches. One student reflected, “It was very cool being able to learn about Morocco and their cultural differences.” 🌍

Welcome Mrs. Dee Winslow as Dean of Student Services and EC Compliance. A proud graduate of Perquimans County High School, Mrs. Winslow brings 28 years of diverse educational experience in the areas of mental health, criminal justice, special education, instructional technology, and school administration. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of serving students, families, and educators across elementary, middle, and high school settings in Perquimans and neighboring counties in the Northeast region. Mrs. Winslow is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University, East Carolina University, N.C. State University, and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is National Board Certified and serves as a Reading Research to Classroom Practice Instructor. She looks forward to partnering with students, staff, families, and the community to build upon Perquimans County High School's proud tradition while fostering a culture where everyone is supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. In her spare time, Mrs. Winslow enjoys cherishing time with her family. She and her husband, Matt, have been married for 27 years and are parents to two daughters, Mattison and Kaylee.
