We celebrated an amazing end to our school year with a trip to Zoo America 🦅🐢🦉🐍🦆🦔🦎🦃🐊🦌and our 2026 Preschool Graduation! 🎓✏️📚

There’s been a lot of fun happening in Hershey this spring!

In April we had a visit from the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt! Families also created a spring craft in the classrooms with their student and ate lunch together as a school community. 🐰🌷☔️🐣

Earlier this month we had a “Donuts with Grown-ups” event where families were invited to enjoy a donut at snack time with us before Music Together! We’re not sure which was sweeter… the donuts or seeing all of the joy in the room while singing & dancing with our amazing Miss Julie from Music Together in Susquehanna Valley 🍩🎶🩷

We also had the opportunity to be the “Field of Dreams Team” for the Harrisburg Senators Deaf & HH Awareness Night game, running on the field with the players during the national anthem! ⚾️🏟️🧢🌭

Recently, Sen. Patty Kim spent the morning with us, visiting our classrooms and students. Senator Kim represents the Hershey region in the Pennsylvania Senate at the state's Capitol. We enjoyed the chance to show her some of the excitement that is happening in our classes. It is always a special day when we can welcome a visitor. Thank you, Senator Kim, for taking time to join us in class and discover how the Hershey Preschool is uniquely serving deaf and hard of hearing students in the Hershey area. We look forward to having you visit us again. 😀😀

PA State Rep. Tom Mehaffie stopped by our school yesterday! He spent time visiting with our students and teachers, joined us for snack time, spent time in the classrooms and read a book to the students. It was a wonderful morning to show off all that is happening in the Hershey Preschool. Thank you Rep. Mehaffie for taking time from your busy schedule to spend the morning with us!🤟 We hope to see you again soon!

Lots of SPIRIT around here for spirit week! We kicked off the week with PJ day on Monday🛏️💤, then had Timber Tuesday🪵with lots of little lumberjacks walking around school! On Wednesday we were bursting with color🩷🩵💚💜! Thursday we dressed like our favorite holiday🎄🦃💕🎃 and then ended the week in blue and gold to represent our school! 💛💙🐻🦁
