As we enter graduation season, many Milton Hershey School alumni are reflecting on the day they crossed the stage and began a new chapter of their lives.
Every graduating class has its own memories, traditions, and distinguished commencement speakers. For the Class of 1995, June 4, 1995 was made even more memorable by an address from Coretta Scott King, whose words about leadership, service, and making a difference in the world continue to inspire.
Now we'd love to hear from our alumni community!
📅 What year did you graduate from MHS?
🎓 Who was your commencement speaker?
Drop your graduation year and speaker in the comments, and let's celebrate the remarkable individuals who helped send generations of Spartans into the world.

128 years ago today Milton Snavely Hershey wed Catherine Elizabeth Sweeny in the rectory of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Assistant Rector Reverend Thomas F. Murphy performed the service, with Francis Foley and Alice McKenna served as witnesses.
The marriage was a surprise to family and friends and not just because Milton was Mennonite and Catherine was Catholic. Milton Hershey himself believed he was destined to be a bachelor forever.
The Hershey's originally lived in Lancaster, PA. Eventually High Point Mansion was built. High Point was the final home of Mr. & Mrs. Hershey. You will find their marriage license prominently displayed on the second floor.

Wow! The 70th Annual Alumni-Senior Brunch, a cherished tradition where we bridge the gap between current students and our lifelong Spartan brotherhood and sisterhood.
It was an incredible morning spent welcoming our soon-to-be graduates into the MHSAA family. Before they walk across the stage, we had the chance to share stories, offer advice, and celebrate the journey they are about to begin.
Highlights of the Event:
Celebrating the Class of 2026: Engaging with our newest cohort of future alumni.
Honoring Legends: A special tribute to Jim and John Hanawalt for their enduring impact and dedication to the MHS community.
Building Connections: Networking between alumni and students to strengthen the Spartan bond.
To our seniors: You aren't just leaving a school; you are joining a global network of support. We can’t wait to see the marks you make on the world!
Welcome to the Association (almost!), Class of 2026! 🎓✨
