Euro Star Hockey has been running clinics and skill development programs in Central Pennsylvania for several years. During that time, we’ve worked closely with local players, helping them improve their skating, skills, and overall game.
Now, as a natural extension of our work, we’re excited to announce the launch of our advising services: Bright Star Advisory. This new initiative was created to give players and families the honest, personalized guidance they deserve. Our goal is to help navigate the hockey landscape, make informed decisions, and open doors to the opportunities players have earned, both on and off the ice.
Bright Star Advisory focuses on individual development, realistic planning, and meaningful exposure. We take the time to understand each player’s goals, strengths, and situation, then help map out a path that makes sense, not based on hype or false promises, but on what will genuinely support their long-term progress. We’re not here to guarantee your player will make it to the NHL, NCAA Division I, or any other level. We’re here to give them the best possible chance to grow, get noticed, and reach the level that’s right for them—whether that’s junior hockey, prep school, college, or beyond.
As we got to know the players and the hockey landscape in Central Pennsylvania, one thing became clear— families are left in the dark about what comes next. Trusted programs often offer little real guidance, and players are frequently sold empty promises about exposure and advancement.
We’ve seen it too often: talented players on strong teams getting sent to tournaments no one’s watching. Families spend thousands of dollars and travel hundreds of miles for events that don’t lead to a single conversation with a scout or coach. These trips may look impressive on paper, but they do little to actually move players forward.
Too often, the goal isn’t to help players move on—it’s to keep them in the organization. Advancement takes a back seat to retention, and players are left spinning their wheels instead of progressing to the next level.
What’s worse, the players in our area are talented, but they’re being set up to fall short. How can they truly compete when they’re practicing just 2–3 times a week for an hour, while players in other programs are training every day on full ice?
And the cherry on top? Once players get older, some organizations pressure families to pull their kids out of high school just to chase a schedule that rarely leads anywhere. These kids miss out on memories they can never get back, all for promises that never materialize.
Hockey is the most important thing out of all the unimportant things. But it should never come at the cost of a kid’s growth, well-being, or future.

To give players and families the honesty they deserve, to bring clarity to the chaos, and to put them back in control of their hockey journey.
