It's time to show off those Tiger smiles! Be sure to wear your favorite outfit and come ready to say, "Cheese!" 📷

Picture Day is a great opportunity to capture memories from the 2026-2027 school year, so don't forget:

🤍 Say Cheese - Picture proofs will go home about 3 weeks from August 26th. Retakes will be November 19th.

If your child is going to be absent, please call the school office to report the absence. If it's before 7:30 a.m., you can leave a voicemail. Failing to call to report absences will result in UNEXCUSED ABSENCES.

📚 HES Attendance Policy📚
Parents may excuse the first five (5) absences during the school year using the district attendance guidelines, with or without documentation, unless the student is enrolled in the Williamson County Truancy Program.

After those first five (5) parent-excused absences, documentation must be provided for any additional absences. Without documentation on file at Herrin Elementary School, the absence will be considered unexcused.

🐾🧡 **HES Tiger Family Reminder** 🖤🤍🐾

Thank you for helping make the start of the school year a great one! Our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures have been running pretty smoothly, and we appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation.

As a reminder, there is typically a little extra traffic during the first few weeks of school. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes when dropping off or picking up your child and be especially mindful of staff members entering the building and students loading and unloading vehicles.

To help keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently:

🐅 Please pull your vehicle all the way to the end of the sidewalk where Mr. Tuthill is stationed. Do not stop in front of the gym doors if there is room to continue moving forward.

🐅 Have your child ready to exit the vehicle quickly and safely when you reach the unloading area with backpacks and other items ready.

🐅 For safety and efficiency, please remain in your vehicle. Staff members are available to assist students as needed.

🐅 Stay alert and watch carefully for pedestrians and other vehicles throughout the drop-off and pick-up areas.

Working together helps us provide a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process for all of our Tigers. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!
