I am beyond blessed to have 5 children-4 girls and 1 boy & 2 "adopted" son-in-laws as amazing bonuses. I'm a native San Diegan who met my sweetheart of 28 years in San Diego too. My hobbies are digital scrapbooking, photography, fitness, sewing, sports, and vacationing (That's a hobby, right?!). I love to teach! I have a current CA elementary teaching license and have a lot of experience with chil
dren. My teaching experience includes: full-time 4th grade teacher, substitute teacher K-12, elementary private tutor, Sylvan Learning Center tutor, 1st-3rd grade Dramatic Arts Summer School Teacher, Remedial Language Arts Summer School Teacher, Summer Art teacher, Get Ready for 1st Grade teacher, and had a preschool in my home in Colorado before moving to Utah 12 years ago. This is my 8th year teaching preschool in Utah. While living in Utah, I have also taught multiple Elementary Summer Art Camps, Summer Space Camp, and Oceans of Fun Summer Camp. My favorite ages to teach are 3-5 years-olds. They are little sponges and it is such fun to see their eyes light up as they enjoy and discover the world around them. My specialty is early literacy. I have a high success rate teaching Pre-K children beginning reading before entering kindergarten. Parent involvement is highly encouraged. My Pre-K program includes early phonics, math, writing, music, art and creative play. Some of our themes for the year are: Our Bodies, Science Experiments, World Travels, Gardens, Insects and Holidays. We will have a handful of fun field trips too! My Lil' Tots program is a wonderfully fun introduction to the alphabet, numbers, and many important fine motor skills, including beginning writing. We read, sing, play, and create! We also have some great field trips planned. I will assess each child's academic and social needs and work hard to help them reach achievable goals throughout the year. My goals are to help your child be ready for kindergarten, have lots of fun, and enjoy a positive start to their education. Unfortunately, I am not trained for special needs children at this time. Children must be 4 by June 1, 2025 and fully potty trained. I will not be teaching Lil'Tots in 2025-26.
