Join us for a cup of coffee on Friday, September 9th, anytime between 5 pm and 7 pm at RSM Herndon (13007 Worldgate Dr. Herndon). While kids enjoy math puzzles, parents will have an opportunity to tour the school and ask Mrs. Viktoriya Palamarchuk, RSM’s Regional Director, any questions they might have.

A new school year means another year of challenging and exciting math competitions! This Fall, join RSM Math Competition Program and explore advanced math concepts for national and international competitions. Students of all ages can benefit from participating in math competitions. Competitive, timed tests allow children to showcase their knowledge, can be a confidence booster and, in later grades, look great on college applications.

Our schools will be closed from Friday, September 2nd through Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day.

In addition to a variety of math courses this year, we are excited to offer a coding class. The session is designed to enrich students and prepare them for success in the digital world. In the course, led by an RSM experienced teacher Mr. Benjamin Salehi, students will strengthen their algorithmic thinking skills and learn the principles of software development, style and testing. Students will also learn data structures, analysis, computer graphics, and automation. Kids will meet online on Thursdays from 6:20 pm until 8:20 pm.

The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) is looking to hire part-time Math Teachers in Reston, VA. The school is open from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends.
- Bachelor's degree in Math or related field (minimum) and/or Master's Degree in Education (preferred)
- Minimum one year of experience working with kids preferably in a school system or university settings
- Ability and desire to make Math fun for children
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Exposure to or experience in other than U.S. models of Math Education is a plus

91 RSM Students were qualified for the American Invitational Math Examination!

We are honored to announce that 91 RSM students qualified for the American Invitational Math Examination (AIME), a challenging competition offered for those who excelled on the AMC 10 and/or AMC 12! This year, only 3,000 students from across the US qualified for the AIME, 91 of whom are our students! This is a phenomenal achievement and we are incredibly proud of our bright students and their success!

The AIME is a 15-question, 3-hour examination, each answer is an integer number between 0 to 999. Top scoring participants on the AIME are invited to take the USAMO or USAJMO.

RSM Festival 2022 was a great success! Thank you so much for being a part of our big day and making the traditional celebration even more special and memorable.
