Considering Algebra 1 Honors for your rising 6th grader?
Many FCPS families of rising 6th graders have recently received information regarding the option to enroll in Algebra 1 Honors. While this is an exciting opportunity, it also involves skipping Prealgebra and moving through key mathematical concepts at a significantly faster pace. In some schools, the course may also be offered virtually, requiring strong independence and preparation.
To help students feel confident and prepared, RSM-Herndon is offering a Summer Algebra 1 Honors Prep course from June 22 through July 30. Classes are available Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:50–8:20 PM or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30–6:00 PM.
