Shalom! Today our 5th graders were able to create their own edible Israeli cities out of sweets and graham crackers for Yom Ha'atzmaut. This evening all 7-12 graders are requested to be at the JCCNV for the Yom Hashoah Commemoration, which we are honored to be the sponsor for this year! The teen program is at 4:30, and we hope to see you there as we listen to the amazing stories of survivors and members.

04/28/2019

Shalom! Passover has finally ended and we hope that you are enjoying your wheat products! Today 6th grade had a group of speakers who were able to discuss becoming a Jew by choice. Looking ahead, the Yom Hashoah Holocaust commemoration at the JCC on May 5th, we are asking all 7-12 graders and families to please be present!

04/07/2019

Shalom! Today, grades K-2 just completed the "Chopped; Charoset Challenge." An extra special thanks to Sgt. Missler who judged the competition. While K-2 were enjoying their cooking, grades 3-7 attended the Passover program with guest speaker Mr. Murray Spiegel! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

03/24/2019

Shalom! A big Todah raba to our guest, Mr. Marty Zelman. He visited 7th grade, telling the story of his parents' journey from the Holocaust to the United States! 7th grade is packing Yom Hashoah yellow candles, which will be arriving at your homes. While 6th grade is learning in project mishpacha, the school is shifting into Passover mode, with the 4 questions being sung throughout the halls. Have a wonderful week!

03/10/2019

A very large Todah Rabah to grades 2,3,4 and 5 and their families for filling our Shabbat with joy! Hope you all are as excited as we are for the Purim carnival on March 17th and the Purim Shpiel on March 20th. We look forward to seeing you there!

02/24/2019

02/24/2019

Shalom! We are back after taking a break last weekend for President's day! 6th grade had another Project Mishpacha session today, but they weren't the only ones doing something exciting! 2nd and 3rd grade were tye-dyeing in preparation for Purim Shpiel! 5th grade presented their Israel program to their parents today. Todah rabah to Moreh Aaron and the 5th graders. 7th grade was able to participate in "Immigrant in Each of Us" at Olam Tikvah! An excitement packed day at religious school!

02/10/2019

An extra special Todah raba to Moreh Rafi Glazer who brought a very special JNF program to our 4th and 5th graders. We had a great time exploring Israel!

02/10/2019

Shalom! After a warmer week the weather went back down into the teens just in time for Sunday school! Thank you to the Bible Players and Moreh Mordechai Rosenstein for spending last week with us! We had a blast and all learned something new! We are now back into the groove and are in a busy day today. Remember, no school next Sunday for President's Day!

01/27/2019

Shalom! After being postponed for all too long, it's finally our first Sunday session of the year! The frigid cold brought the students in as they shuffled to class. The school enjoyed a regular day of religious school to get back into their grooves! Finally, finally Artist in Residence week is here! There is something for everyone, check your weekly update for event days and times. Morah Ita says "see you this Shabbat!"

12/16/2018

Shalom! The wet weather brought the students in as they shuffled into class. The third graders had a blast today building their own interpretations of the Tower of Babel! 6th grade had another session of Project Mishpacha today, and they are becoming more and more prepared for their bar/bat mitzvah! Our next Sunday will be in January, so we are wishing you all a happy and exciting 2019!

Photos from Congregation Beth Emeth Religious School's post 11/18/2018

Shalom! With the weather in the 30's this morning, it started to feel like November on this religious school day. Today in religious school, the 5th graders held a wonderful mock trial that impressed all that attended! Morah Ita was the judge, and we had 3 chai schoolers be the bet din (Jury). The 3rd, 4th, and 6th graders were all there to watch and be amazed at the amount of work and dedication that was put into the trial. We'd also like to thank all the parents for coming out and supporting their children in the trial as well! A wonderful day at CBE!

11/11/2018

Shalom! It was VERY cold this morning with the temperature at around 30 degrees! Today in religious school the 6th graders had their 2nd week of Project Mishpacha. They are getting more and more prepared for their b'nai mitzvot each week! All the other classes got to enjoy a normal day of school. Another enriching and learning-filled day at CBE!

10/28/2018

Shalom! Today in religious school the 6th grade class had a discussion about where their families are from! One student brought in a board with old family photos! During the day, some of the older students made letters out to the synagogue that was attacked in Pittsburgh, while the younger grades made origami! All of our prayers go out to them. Another busy day in the religious school building!

10/21/2018

Shalom! Wind was gusting around this morning, so people were rushing to get inside and start learning! Our kindergarten class was very small today however, with only 4 kids! Even though the class was small, we rolled back the time and talked about the Tower of Babble with kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade! The 6th graders and their parents had their very first project mishpacha today and are learning about the bar/bat mitzvah process. All and all another fun day at religious school.

10/14/2018

Shalom! With the weather starting to get cold this morning, everyone started off the day with a chill to wake them up. The teachers and students are finally able to follow their normal schedules without any special event in their way. Even though the classes aren't having anything special today, the office is still bustling with people moving around everywhere! 6th grade, don't forget that next week is project mishpacha workshop #1!
