This bin took me FIVE HOURS to iron. 😂🧵

Donated fabric doesn’t just go straight to our shelves.

Most of it is sorted, washed, ironed, folded, and organized first.

Why? Hygiene and safety. Some donations come from homes with pets or have been sitting in storage for years.

It’s a lot of work, but this is what textile reuse looks like behind the scenes. ♻️💚

Good fabric deserves another life.

Now… who actually LOVES ironing? 😂👇

Looking for the best sewing machine for beginners? 🧵

These are 2 of the sewing machines we actually use to teach beginners at Sewing Lab:

Singer M1000 vs. Singer M1500.

One works especially well for our youngest beginners. The other is one we use as students build more control and confidence.
