Hypothermia Prevention! 01/20/2017

Teamwork can make a difference.

Thanks to the teams from Congregation Beth Emeth and St. John Neumann, Reston who partnered to feed the homeless last night! The roasted chicken dinner provided by CBE was a hit as always, the CBE chorale entertained the guests with gusto, and the St. John team piloted a more green -- and more elegant -- approach by providing (and washing) plates & silverware instead of the usual paper & plastic. And the entire CBE community deserves thanks for contributing food for dinner & breakfasts, clothing, gift cards and more during Hypothermia Prevention Week. The CBE Religious School baked 80 cookies as well, and special kudos to Ted Benjamin for organizing the effort and Jill Weissman for captaining the on-site servers!
