“Never give up.”

Bogireddy Kaveri is a BTech student at JNTUK, where she is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. At home Bogireddy’s household was reliant on the income of just her father, a mason, as her mother was a homemaker. Unsure of what path she should pursue academically they watched as his older sister, Vasundhara, successfully completed her BTech degree at JNTUN. This opportunity allowed her sister to open up a new realm of possibilities, and this inspired Bogireddy to do just the same.

As she began to study engineering in school, she became very interested in both the construction and civil side of their degree. She worked hard in his studies and recently received a job offer from L&T; a multinational conglomerate company in Mumbai. Furthermore, outside of the classroom, Bogireddy has secured many prizes in running. The Next Step Foundation has inspired her and their goal in the future is to give back and provide help to at least ten students with education.

Pavan Sai is a student at Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University in Vizianagaram. Pavan grew up with a difficult home life due to financial struggles. His father is a small employee at Sai communications and was responsible for all financial expenses for Pavan and his sibling. When he got to college, he was determined to find a way to improve his financial situation and found out about The Next Step Foundation from his friends in college.

Pavan is studying BTech in his final year of studies and aims to become a software engineer. Using his NSF scholarship, he has used the money to prepare and obtain certifications in the field of web development, to help make his dream a reality. His current goal is to graduate with a good job, in a field that he is interested in and live a fulfilling life without the stress of money looming behind him. To Pavan there are no words that can describe how thankful he is to our donors, NSF was able to provide support at a crucial time in his career, and without that, he would not be where he is today.

Jerripothula Dhanush is a graduate of the Government Polytechnic College, Visakhapatnam, where he is pursuing his diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Prior to college, Jerripothula achieved many academic accomplishments. In his 10th class, he became his school’s first International Math Olympiad, which helped solidify a position in Information Systems during his school's polytechnic placements. These achievements have helped build confidence in Jerripothula and allowed him to continue to challenge himself further.

After the completion of his diploma, his goal is to achieve a high score on the GATE and ESE exams in order to begin a successful career. The Next Step Foundation provided Jerripothula with a scholarship to cover his hostel fees and GATE coaching fees. Jerripothula has expressed how grateful he is to our donors, and this has motivated him to pay back the favor in the future and help other children when he is able to.

Hemanth Kumar is a graduate of JNTUK, where he studied civil engineering, and is originally from Andhra Pradesh. Hemanth grew up in a single-parent household, where his father had to provide for both him and his brother. In university, he saw the stress that his studies were putting on his family and was turned to the Next Step Foundation by his friends. With the relief provided by the scholarship Hemanth was able to turn his focus to becoming a good civil engineer who can build “wonderful and safe structures”.

Currently, Hemanth is preparing for his IES and spending time in his hometown. He expressed how NSF has helped make him the person he is today and has inspired him to continue aiming high in the future.

“A dream is just a dream until we put it into action.”

Maganti Venkata Srinivas is a third-year B.Tech student at Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University in Kakinada, and originally from Denduluru. His family consists of two parents and a younger brother. His father, a farmer, is responsible for supporting the family financially and rarely has time to rest and sleep properly. Worried for his father, Maganti tries to assist him in his free time, however, he is only turned away and directed to put that energy towards studying instead. His father’s dedication has inspired him only to work harder and achieve great academic success.

In his 10th class, Maganti achieved a 10 GPA, which allowed him to study at the intermediate level with reduced fees and reduced financial burden. Furthermore, after the intermediate level, he obtained a 2456 rank in the AP EAMCET which helped him secure his admission to JNTUK. Over the years Maganti has observed how his and his brother’s education has placed additional worries upon his household, to the point where his father has had to borrow money to pay off these fees. With the assistance of his scholarship from the Next Step Foundation he has been able to clear his hostel fees and put more focus on his dream, which is to secure a PSU job through the GATE exam.

Pyla Ramya is a B.TECH student from Narsipatnam. During her time at university, she was burdened by the stress of paying her college financials. Her father was a farmer and was responsible for providing for her whole family. When searching for solutions Ramya found out about the Next Step Foundation through our social media presence and was awarded a scholarship to help cover her college bills.

To Ramya her gained confidence is her most significant accomplishment. With the assistance provided by her NSF scholarship, she was able to direct her focus away from financial stress and focus on her studies. This confidence helped her gain a job at a reputable company, L&T. She continues to work hard and has set her goal to become a knowledgeable person in her department whom her peers can rely on. Ramya has eagerly shared the assistance that NSF has provided with her peers, in hopes that someone else in need of help can also receive the service they need.

Mohamad Ahmad Qureshi grew up in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh in India. His father was a shopkeeper, and his mother was a homemaker with three other siblings Mohamad led a life with daily financial strain. Despite this Mohamad was committed to his studies and achieved first place in the technical project expo at his university. He looks back on this experience fondly as not only was it a great accomplishment, but by working with other students on a team he was able to learn valuable teamwork and communication skills, which will be beneficial as he begins looking for jobs after graduation.

Currently, Mohamad is at JNTUK pursuing a degree in BTech, and his current goal is to place in PSU through the GATE exam. With the help of the Next Step Foundation Mohamad is using his scholarship to pay for coaching for his GATE exam, to ensure that he can achieve the best score possible. He expressed gratitude towards our donors and knows that the amount spent on education is an investment in future minds.

Siriki Bhavani Shankar is from Visakhapatnam, and is a graduate of JNTUK Kakinada with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. From a young age, Sirki loved to design and analyze the things around him, and he put that passion forward into his studies. After completing his diploma in 2019 with distinction he was able to gain a job as an engineer trainee in cairn oil and natural gas at Vedanta Limited. He feels strongly about his company’s goal to obtain their goals sustainably, and this has driven him to explore this challenging topic further in his free time.

From our donors at the Next Step Foundation, Sirki learned a valuable lesson: “Doing something good to society is the most satisfying thing”. By experiencing the effects of giving back to your community he has made it a goal for himself to consistently contribute to society and put this opportunity forward. To him, NSF gave him the hope and confidence to achieve the dreams and aspirations he held from a young age and for that, he is extremely grateful.

“Believe in yourself and smile always.”
Yanamadala Bhargavi had a dream to build her own house. And in order to see that dream through she studies hard to attain her degree in B.Tech Civil Engineering from Ideal Institute of Technology. Yanamadala is an excellent student and received a Prathibha award for civil engineering in 2019. This is her first significant accomplishment in her academic career and this is a very proud moment for her parents. During her studies, she saw how her family suffered from financial stressors. They were unable to help her buy the necessary stationery and materials for school, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, she found herself stuck. Her NSF scholarship helped buy Yanamadala a new phone to attend her online classes during the lockdown and ensure no gap in her academic career.

After graduation, she got a job in L&T as a GET and joined the company in October to begin her training period. Her goal is to gain as much knowledge as possible and reach a good position in the company and eventually move into the government sector. Yanamadala expresses her gratitude towards NSF for supporting her goals and studies.

Kella Nagraaju is a graduate of JNTUK in civil engineering. As the middle child in his household, he saw how his elder brother dropped out of his academic career in the twelfth grade, due to financial struggles. His father was a farmer and in university, he had difficulties making ends meet, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Other JNTUK alumni turned him to the Next Step Foundation, from which he received the NSF scholarship for academic excellence.

This scholarship helped cover expenses related to his studies and housing. With the relief provided by his scholarship, Kella was able to achieve many accomplishments. In both 2020 and 2022, he participated in All Indian Inter University National Championship for Ball Badminton. Furthermore, he is planning on continuing his studies in the field of software engineering to challenge himself and learn new things. Kella shared a quote that inspires him: “a child without education is like a bird without wings.” As for him his education helped open up the doors to so many more opportunities in life.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

Naga Venkata Kiran Tirupathi is an electrical engineering graduate from JNTUK. In school physics and mathematics excited Kiran, so when it came time to determine a career path, they chose engineering. In school, they secured a rank of 1300 in APPOLYCET, which gave them the opportunity to complete their diploma at the Government Polytechnic college in Visakhapatnam. They later ranked 56th in the APECET which allowed them to attend Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University in Kakinada.

The Next Step Foundation provided a scholarship to help clear Kiran’s hostel dues with JNTUK. With this donation, he was able to complete her studies in a peaceful manner, as they were able to overcome their financial crisis in time for graduation. Currently, Kiran is a graduate engineer trainee in Larson and Turbo and they’re actively preparing for the GATE exam.
