On National K9 Veterans Day, we pay tribute to the courageous canines who have bravely served alongside our troops and protectors. These loyal dogs not only assist in military operations but also provide unconditional love and therapy to those in need, reminding us of the profound bond between humans and their furry companions. Join us in honoring the loyalty and bravery of these four-legged heroes.

National K9 Veterans Day is celebrated on March 13 each year, a date which marks the establishment of the U.S. Army K9 Corps in 1942, when dogs were officially trained for military purposes.

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent.
It is a time of sacred pause—a moment to remember both our fragility and our hope. The ashes remind us of a hard truth that many in uniform know well: we are not invincible.

We carry wear, grief, loss, and fatigue. We are dust—and life can mark us deeply. But Lent does not end in ashes.
It leads us toward renewal, healing, and resurrection.

For those who serve and have served—our military members, veterans, first responders—Lent invites a different kind of strength:
• the courage to be honest about what we carry
• the humility to receive care
• the faith to believe that restoration is possible

At Ten Ten Life, we walk with those who serve through seasons of struggle and renewal, ministering to them through counseling, connection, and care.

As we enter this Lenten season, may we remember:
God is near to the weary, present in the wilderness, and faithful in the work of renewal. Even from ashes, God is still creating something new.

We are excited to share a significant milestone in Ten Ten Life's ministry and growth! We have reached 500 counseling and/or coaching sessions since we started this journey together! This is an exciting testament to our ongoing commitment and dedication to caring for, engaging with, and investing in the lives and mental health of military members, veterans, and first responders.

Over 500 sessions, we have been blessed to witness and facilitate incredible growth, freedom, and transformation in the lives and stories of our members. We are honored that they have entered into this work with us and have taken important steps along the healing journey.

While we briefly pause to acknowledge this accomplishment, we are still focused and driven to continue growing our impact in this community. We are looking ahead to the NEXT 500 sessions and invite you to partner with us and support our ministry as we continue to grow.

Thank you to all the providers, donors, partners, and supporters who have helped us reach this milestone! We are blessed to be able to serve alongside you!

Today, we're honoring Jay Piña as he steps down from the Board of Directors to pursue new opportunities and ventures. Jay's dedicated service over the last three years has been integral to the formation and growth of Ten Ten Life. In addition to serving on the Board, Jay was also the co-founder of Ten Ten Life and served as Deputy Executive Director during the organization's formative period. He has been described as the "catalyst" of the organization, helping to bring the vision of Ten Ten Life to fruition with dedication, a commitment to excellence, and intentionality.

With Jay's leadership and guidance, a calm and steady hand in the uncertain waters of building an organization and bringing a dream to life, much of the groundwork and foundations for Ten Ten Life were put in place. You will find his imprint and influence throughout our DNA, and the impact of his service will continue to influence our growth and accomplishments moving forward.

Jay is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and is also a retired special agent of the Department of Homeland Security. We thank him for his service to our nation as well as to our organization!

Thank you, Jay—may the seas lie smooth before you, may wisdom chart your course, and may hope be your North Star that guides you as you sail into all your future ventures!
