Our juniors and seniors took an unforgettable journey through Scotland and England this spring, exploring the beauty of Edinburgh’s historic sites, the Highlands, and the iconic landmarks across London. From climbing Arthur’s Seat to walking the Royal Mile and visiting places like Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London, each day of their trip blended learning with adventure. Evenings were invested in reflection and friendships, which expanded the meaning of the shared experience. The trip was characterized by students’ growing appreciation for history, culture, one another, and the faculty members and parents who accompanied them.

Ninth graders walked part of the Freedom Trail, toured Fenway Park, explored the MFA, Mapparium, and Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, and took a Duck Tour of Boston. Highlights included great food, inspiring devotionals, and exploring this very walkable city!

Tenth graders explored both Christian and secular schools, an honors college, an engineering school, a Christian ministry, and a Christian study center. Along the way, we had a great time exploring Chicago, Lake Michigan, the Ford assembly line, and a few museums.

The seventh grade class trip to Philadelphia cemented history knowledge and class friendships! Students enjoyed touring the historic district, seeing the Liberty Bell, and walking in the Founding Fathers’ footsteps at Independence Hall. They also spent time at the Franklin Institute, learning about anatomy, physics, space, neuroscience, and kinesiology. Some even got to see a live dissection of a cow’s eyeball! In their downtime, students reflected on how the sights connected to their learning in class and spent time playing games, laughing, and connecting.

Eighth graders traveled to Port Isobel and Tangier islands for unique learning experiences that integrated the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay with the history and culture of a traditional waterman's community that depends on a healthy ecosystem for its livelihood. They caught blue crabs, oysters, and identified over 100 species of plants and animals. Favorite activities were the boat rides, night hike, dock and net fishing, oyster dredging, exploring the island of Tangier, s'mores around the campfire, crab races, "marsh mucking," and watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Dominion’s golf program is getting off the ground this spring with golf lessons! Whether students are picking up a club for the first time or sharpening their skills, building confidence, coordination, and a love for the game.

With supportive instruction and a fun learning environment, students are developing fundamentals like grip, stance, and swing, while also learning patience, focus, and sportsmanship along the way.

Our Upper School Spring Formal was a night to remember! Students enjoyed great music, an amazing atmosphere (with “Under the Sea” decor), and of course… swing dancing! It was a meaningful night as seniors head into their last few months before graduation.

We had an absolute blast at our Lifelong Learning Spring Finale Swing Dance! It was wonderful to see multiple generations together on the dance floor in roaring 20’s attire, and the live band was a special treat. Miss Hard (and a few talented volunteers from her upper school swing dancing class) gave us able instruction in moves such as the cuddle, the tornado, the punisher, and the pretzel. The evening also included a shout out to our 2025-2026 Annual Fund—thank you to all who have supported so far!

Last week, our fourth graders celebrated Colonial Day. The classroom stepped back in time to experience life in colonial America! Students explored what life was like in the 1700s, with traditional food, clothing, and games.

The students showed great creativity and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was wonderful to see history come alive in such a fun and interactive way!
