Our Krav Maga Youth Program is a unique combination of fun, structure, action, discipline, and executive function skills. This unique multi-disciplined approach allows active children a constructive place for which to apply their energy, while also allowing them to develop the skills they need to succeed. Children learn how to follow set and maintain boundaries, identify potential problems, make effective decisions under stress and be a supportive group member. Action, Fun
Children need to be able to express themselves physically in some way. Through Krav Maga, children are encouraged to do so through physical skills like running, jumping, crawling, etc, as well self-defense and martial art specific skills like grappling, striking and kicking. By varying our classes with a wide variety of games and drills, children are really able to enjoy exercising and learn to develop a healthy lifestyle. Self-Defense Skills
Children are provided with the core competencies of fitness combined with key age-appropriate self-defense and avoidance techniques. This combination allows real learning to take place so that children develop true self-defense skills along with the attitude to use these skills appropriately/responsibly. Discipline & Confidence
It has been consistently shown that regular training in martial arts like Krav Maga help students develop physically, mentally and emotionally. Children, in particular, develop self-efficacy and self-reliance giving them the confidence to avoid peer pressure, to set and work towards goals, and to stand up for themselves and others.
