I am a high school tutor and parent of two and understand the actual fear that many students experience in higher level math classes. In my book Calculus for Middle Schoolers, I introduce the foundational concepts of limits, derivatives and integrals (as well as some precalculus material) with fun, engaging pictures and clear explanations and examples that young students can understand. They can get comfortable with these concepts early on so they won’t be overwhelmed by seeing them for the first time in fast-paced high school calculus classes.
