This is Golly - the class mascot for Kindergarten Green! Students designed and created his dog bowl using the 3D printer during STEM class! Next on the list is the creation and painting of his doghouse! Very nice! Golly is well taken care of!
Today is the last day to order the SJS yearbook! Don't miss out!
Who built the Ark? Noah built the Ark! Kindergarteners performed their Noah's Ark program - another long standing SJS tradition! Super cute! Excellent job!
3rd grade snack time is the best time! Lots of smiles!
It sure feels like spring at SJS with these beautiful flowers painted by our kindergarteners! You can almost smell their fragrance as you walk by! Great work!
1st graders deepening their knowledge of the Stations of the Cross! Father Tom was instrumental in explaining the history, how to pray the Stations, and the symbolism portrayed in the stained glass.
Our long-standing tradition of the 8th Grade Love Mass was celebrated today. We reflected on the virtue of love and to provide the love that God gives us to others. A special letter of love and support from home was read quietly by our 8th graders. "Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand." -Mother Teresa (Remember to always say "I love you" to your parents!)
Keeping our 8th graders in our prayers as they depart for the Diocesan Vocations Mass. May they be open to God and His plans.
6th graders are designing and building robots to perform various tasks! Very impressive! Mrs. H does an amazing job leading our robotics program! Our students are future engineers in the making! Way to go!
As part of their STEM projects, 5th graders are drawing up a proposal to create a garden on campus! A lot of hard work has gone into the proposal including creating a vision, measuring, cost analysis, research, & much more! Finishing the final touches before their presentations!

Did you know the word "creed" comes from the Latin word "credo", meaning to believe/commit and profession of faith? The Apostles' Creed is the most important Catholic professions of faith! 8th graders created their own Apostles' Creed booklet along with quotes from the Bible to answer why we believe what we believe. A fantastic way to have students dive deeper and connect with their faith!

Happy Birthday, Johnny Appleseed! Not only is he known for planting the first apple trees, but also his Christian beliefs & sharing the word of God! He taught people to be kind & to love animals. He selfishly devoted his life to planting apple seeds so others could enjoy the fruit. 1st graders celebrated his birthday by drawing portraits of Johnny and making their own apple pie! Yum! Let us be like Johnny Appleseed and spread the love of God and kindness to others!
